I think 600lbs sounds about right. Think about it, all that's really added is two doors, the extra sheetmetal on the roof and floor, and two small frame sections. I'm sure there are some other small items that add up too, but I can't really see it adding up to more than 600lbs.

Why so hard to believe? Only 2 more seats, a console, 2 pieces of glass, and some sheet metal. Remember it has a shorter bed and all. This number is from a few people in the HD forum who weighed their truck at a scale compared to the weight of a L. A few people came up with this number. Not like the truck is a ton heavier than the L.

Ya'll forgetin' bout dat extra 500lbs. of drive shaft.

Oh and dem 200lbs. of 20" wheels.

and that extra carpet and seats and headliner and don't forget all that extra air which gets heavier if the ac is on being cold and all.

and paint....my goodness I'm surprized that thing even moves.

So thats 600lbs. plus those 700lbs. youse guys forgot about. Yea about 600lbs sounds right to me. Really I like the Harleys and may get one as the Family Car errr Truck.

Hey, its 320 pounds of 20's and rubber. Get it right LoL

but seriously, a few guys have weighed their trucks on commercial scales, and it comes up to be around 600 lbs heavier than the L.

Hummm, thats what I thought (as I want to replace my OEM seats) untill I sat in the HD seat on a test drive. DAMMMM those things burn you short pant wearing legs when left setting in the sun all day at the dealers lot. Not much in the way of lateral support to mention but then I guess HD bike aren't made for taking corners why should the truck be

can someone check with an authorized ford parts dealer and see if the L and HD motors have the same or different part numbers for the manifold?

The 99 and 00's came with 360HP stock, while the 01and 02's come with 380HP stock. Differance? 90mm MAF, revised I/C, and tuneing.

PI is Ford's term for the new modular heads. The Power Increase head were started in 99 and continue till now. The PI heads flow better, thus giveing more power than the non-PI heads.

I like the sound of that...........a 400rwhp monster, towing a 600rwhp Lexus to the track.........It's like, hell, pick your poison.............you wanna get beat by a 5000+ pound monster, or by a luxury automobile that will plaster the smile on your face to the headrest on the seat!!
scary

JC

BTW, from the other thread, Razor's Edge is located in Margate, just off of State Rd 7 and Copans Rd, across the street from Maroone Ford..............shoot me an email, and I'll tell u how to contact him, etc, for when you do get the truck. I hung around here for like 3 or 4 months before I bought my Lightning, so ask as much as you can think of..............these guys are extremely helpful and very knowledgable.

Kendall..........ahhh....just more highway miles to gobble up at high speeds.

Try Maroone Ford in Margate, which is pretty far as you stated, or maybe World Ford of Pembroke Pines..........they must have, I kid you not, like 40 HD's.........unreal.....You can also try Gus Machado Ford, some guys got good deals, I've heard, but the salesmen there border on an IQ of about 32.5 at best......

I got mine at Maroone Ford in Margate.........sticker was 32460, I got it for 31K with the bedliner, but I was able to squeak an extra 1000 for my trade in.........they gave me 10,000 on a '98 Accord with almost 80K miles.........so I came out relatively ok.......let me know if you need contact numbers, directions, help, etc........that's what we're here for.
