The Mac Exhaust is on........Thank God!
back pressure?
to quote "The test was VERY conclusive. It be showin that da sMACk ain't floin. "
i think the real issue with ANY cat back is they flow fine= too much, not enough BACK-PRESSURE fOR the L motor,? just a thought, but my MAC does allow a little more heat out of the engine, which is fine by me, and it sounds good/looks great, and all you have to do to get the tenth ,and 1 mph back is loose 100 pounds truck or driver weight=every 100#s of weight loss =1 tenth et time!

Nitro, Do you think I am trying to sell something here , I do not think so I am not a supporting vendor here so I will not break the rules.,as for defending a product, I think many do that , if I did not defend a product I would not be a very good distributor would I .
I see you are defending the Bassani. I have no problem with that.
DO I need a website to sell , I don't think so.
All I am stating is if someone wants to save money and buy multiple items, Like Dr D stated , then so be it. it is there money there trucks and there life , so who do these people think they are to bash them , I feel it is a personal attack on someone that has all of the money in the Lightnings and not alot more to throw at it.
So what if myself and other vendors want to bring a lower pricing standard to the lightning owners. I feel they deserve to save the money , because it is hard earned given these times and situations.
is it so out of line to want to pay 500.00 Less for somethng and also get say a pulley and a chip with it, and get the same gains.
Money doesn't grow on trees from where I live , so given the choice of a 289.00 kit with nice chrome tips and a 730.00 kit that gives the same gains and sounds good.
the average new lightning owner with these choices can get all the popular mods now for under a 1000.00. is there so much wrong with that . And if many given the choice now that they didn't have earlier they might change their mind also , I know I would

This has gone way too far. I was hoping we could get everyone on this site to acknowledge everyones different tastes.
Example:
THREAD-
" I just got the bassani system and it sounds wicked and the install was easy. It's all stainless, looks great, and will last a long time. Alittle expensive though, just figured i would get this kit cause i liked it ever since i saw it."
" Thats great brother! I like the sound of the bassani and the quality is great. I just installed my MAC and it went pretty good. Tips look great and fill the ground effect just like the bassani does. I just wish our systems made some power. I have to get back to the garage and finish putting the belt on my new pulley that i got today also."
"Cool!"

Tiamat, those kind of threads don't happen around here anymore. Here lately it's not just good enough to tell about your choice of product, you must also talk crap about other people and their choices to make yours look better. How about an apples to apples comparison, and hold the negativity please??
When i first logged on it was the big blown motor thing blaming JDM. It was like watching a bad movie. Now it's everyone knocking eachother about their choice on different products. These are information sharing sites to make everyone more knowledgeable about our trucks. The most important thing is we have fun with our rides and hopefully make some friends at the races. Theres no need to rip on eachother cause it's a huge waste of time. I take my truck very seriously but it's just a vehicle. It's an outlet from work, and all the other crap that we deal with everyday. Let's not try to prove who's smarter or richer by degrading eachothers purchases.
Re: Backpressure
OK, now i don't even OWN a Lightning, but I do have another Eaton-blown powered car (Integra + M62 ~12 PSI) and the general consensus among the forced induction crowd is that, for forced induction (turbo or SC) there is no such thing a too open of an exhaust. The SC produces more than enough pressure to push out the spent gases, no "backpressure" is needed/helpful. Hell, run a pair of 4" straight pipes if you can put up with the noise (and stay ahead of Johnny Law).
Thoughts ?
Thoughts ?
Was told by JDM that our trucks need a little backpressure to run great. It depends on the application i guess. Your integra is a high rpm motor and that might be the difference between you sc car and the L motor.
