What to do with the gas cap when getting gas?
Do you think 87 octane is better for the paint or worse?
Seems like with less octane than the 93 we have here in Florida, it wouldn't be as bad. But, that's just what I think...
Anybody???
Hello...?

Just carefully let it rest against the side of the truck.
Of you can put it over the fuel door if it'll reach.
Someone would get filthy rich if they offered a fuel door upgrade w/ the fuel cap notch in it.

Hey guys, I've thought about this subject long and hard already, and here I offer my solution:
Ever notice that those little devices to lock the gas pump in the "on" position never quite hold the pump all the way ON. Sure, they're close to full blast, but not quite. On a big *** tank like the L it already takes a considerable amount of my precious cruise time just to fill up. On certain pump handle styles you can wedge the gas cap in the handle and enjoy full blast filling while doing more productive things like checking oil and washing windows
.... and yes, I DO have alot of time on my hands to think of this stuff

Yeah, those damn fire marshals
There's the gas stations around here that will trip the pump off whenever you walk away, hence making you walk over there and resqueeze the handle. One filling session I was leaning over the tonneau, filling out a birthday card, and the lady kept tripping the pump because I wasn't watching it.... I WAS 1 FOOT AWAY! Meanwhile some *** in the pump next to me was sitting in the car while filling and she didnt shut off HIS pump. She came on the speaker and said I had to be watching the pump for her to not trip it off. After a brief argument that I was 1 foot away, I said, "ok, then" as I ended the sale at about 1.7 gallons, left the gas cap dangling, and left 2 patches of rubber across her lot, across the street, and into the station across the street. I then filled up there while writing out my card, and giving her a soothing, friendly gesture. She got to watch me out her window spend my money at the more expensive station. LAST time I go to that one. It'd be different if she didn't ignore the guy sitting in his car right next to me. Some things just get me terribly fired up.
Sorry, had to rant

.. mostly because the "lock" thing is gone from every handle.
... the pumps don't work 'cause the vandals took the handles.
