Talking She's back!!!

I finally got her back, after six months! The bodywork was flat amazing, and the Cervini's hood is absolutely perfect. The best part of all is the perfect, new, glassy black paint without a single hint of orange peel, and without a single blemish. It's a whole new truck! (Scott painted the underside of the hood with the same painstaking care. I was dumbfounded by the quality.)

To easterisland and gang, I'll be lookin' around to say hello to y'all behind the Galleria tomorrow evening between 5:30 and 6:00. I'm the guy with the shaved head in the shiny Lightning!

Back to work. Now properly armed, I must cut down on the ricer boy population...

Two weeks ago, Scott was painting the cab and fenders. While applying the last clearcoat layer, he noticed huge fish-eye holes forming in the paint.

He left the spray booth, went outside the shop, and found a guy next door spraying Armor All on his tires. Somehow the wind carried the silicone from the Armor All to the intake of the spray booth's air system and settled on the fresh paint, totally ruining the clearcoat.

He spent the next whole day starting over and sanding the cab. I'm not sure what he did to the guy next door, and I'm not sure I want to find out.

Great looking L. What type of fog lights do you have? They do not look like the factory 99/00 fog lights. Just curious cause they look sweet and a lot more clear than the stock ones.

They are probably the 01/02' fog lights...I heard that you can't get the 99 fogs anymore. Looks very nice, i want that hood myself. Either that one or the AAD F1 hood

Thanks for all the nice words, guys. I'm just glad I'm not dead. The rest is all gravy to me.

Scott told me he couldn't get the '99 fogs anymore; the lower bumper and fog lights come in a kit now, and as you know, the new ones just snap in, eliminating the hassle of aiming those nasty, greasy brackets in the older style fogs.

The Cervini's hood relocates the windshield washer squirters out of sight, and uses gas lifts. I'm not sure if those were the same factory gas lifts or not. I kinda miss the insulator pad, but he did such a nice job painting the underside of the hood, that's worth showing off too!

Although the ram air is not set up to blow onto a cone filter (yet), the holes keep the engine compartment temp nice and low.

My Allison, she is gorgeous. A fine ride. I won't wreck her again. Someone else, perhaps, yes, but not I.

What? The 99/00 fogs are available all over the place in reproduction for $20 each... Same fog was used on 87-93 Mustang's...

Nevermind that you can still buy the lenses from Hella Vendors for $50/ea...
