Edmunds website says the L weighs more than the harley? is this right?

edmunds has the weight of the L listed at 4670

they have the Harley listed at 4644

is this right?

why wouldn't the harley be as fast then mods being equal?

suspension?

I was talking to outnumbered on the HD board and he said his weighed 5600. Probably just a general number but that's what he said.

fords website doesn't list a weight for the harley, it does for the L and that is 4670, exactly what edmunds says

Harleys are only listed at 340hp (pretty sure) they only run 6# boost.

the hp doesn't matter, thats all pulley, it's pullied down 2 sizes,

for all intents and purposes, same truck, just curious about the weight

i had a buddy asking about them and then started researching, and couldn't believe the l was listed heavier

I misread your post, I thought you were asking why the Harley isn't as fast as an L. If that is the case it is because it is underpowered.

I don't see how a L can weigh more than a HD. The extra cab MUST be heavier. They have the same engine basically.
The frame is longer, the extra cab weight, the wheels/tires are bigger/heavier.....I just don't buy it.

A Harley truck weighs less than an L?
An HD weighs less than an L?

I seriously doubt it. I have weighed both a Harley and a friend's 2500 HD and they are both PORTLY BLUBBER MUFFINS compared to the L.

To whomever published the weight info you guys are refering to I say the following:

I think the source may be mistaken.

Actually, I think my HD weighs around 5200#. I am going to the scales this week to find out for sure; seems to be a popular topic.

Isn't the cargo box on the HD made out of plastic instead of steel like on the L?

If the cargo box is made of plastic, the truck was obviously not intended to be used like a truck. I have never heard of using anything but steel in the cargo box.

Dammit.....I can't remember exactly, But I know my 02 HD tipped the scales at UNDER 4900lbs.

I can't believe I forgot already....crap I only had it weighed a Month or so ago.

I'm gonna go this weekend and weigh BOTH my 01L and my 02 HD on the same scale so we can have a basis of comparison.
