Nobody like the Beltech Nitro-Actives?

I tested them vs. the '01 Bilstiens & their own Nitro Drop shocks and the results might suprise you. The only difference (as far as overall statistics goes) was that the mono-tube style showed a tendancy to run cooler (fade less) and gave a slightly firmer ride. Handling didn't improve much with the nitro drops, but ride quality was far better and much less harsh in city driving.
I personally run NitroDrops on my truck for around town driving and love them. Of course, when I go to the track for a few HOT laps. . .they get removed with the quickness. That's when I slide in the . . .ooppss. . .almost slipped.

My recommendation: If you drive it daily on the street, don't have a mucho-humongo set of springs, and don't want to launch your slurpee everytime you hit a bump in the road, then Beltech's Nitro Drop is for you. At $30 each, you can't beat the price, either. If you want (or have) a firmer spring then Nitro Actives would suit you better (approx. $50 each). If you have Hotchkiss springs (or a similar high rate spring), then you don't want to fiddle-fart around with any of these 'street' shocks. Go directly to the phone and order QA1's, or HAL's (approx. $140 each). It might seem like a lot of scratch to lay down for a set of shocks, but you'll save money in the long run when you still have the QA1's and the other guy is on his fifth set of Doech's. Your kidneys will thank you, too.

All of the shocks I talked about here are available from any mail order house like Summit, Jeg's, etc.

Hope this info helps.

You can order QA1's directly from QA1, or from Ruslow over at www.nloc.net or JDM at www.nloc.net/www.svtperformance.com

Check with pauls high performance in Jackson mich.I think hr sell a set of adjustable shocks designed by penske for around 550.00.I dont know about front shocks from him as these are for the rear only. They are pretty sharp at his place they have thier company Lightning in the mid 12s with no extra boost and no spray. At least that is what they say and they are a very reputable shop .
