no flame intended BUT! service your customers first .
Since the post that started this topic was originally written in an exsisting thread and then used to start a new thread, I'm going to copy my reply to it from the other thread...
Excited, that may be true of some companies, but I don't work like that. I always put my customers first. I planned to do a lot of work to the truck over the winter, but business never slowed down at all. I kept putting the truck off, to get orders out. We didn't have the time to finish it for NMRA in FL, I had to race my stock 95, and that doesn't sell parts. We barely had it done for NMRA GA, and we wound up finishing it at the track there. Problems always arise, we are always breaking stuff, and having to fix stuff, but the customers come first. So please don't include me in with the people you are describing.
As for the FASTair kits, many orders got delayed way longer than I wanted. I started to run out of the original batch of 90mm boxes, and could no longer get in touch with the company who built them for us. It took a long time to find a new company that could make them for us, at the same price we were previously paying, so that I would not have to raise the price on the kit. I even had to take the 80mm boxes in stock and have a machine shop enlarge the holes to 90mm, which cost me money but I did not pass that to the customer. Now we have a new company making our boxes again, so we should soon be able to get back on track, but unfortunately many orders were delayed. I do apologize to those waiting, and hope that the quality and performance of the product will overshadow the time it took you to get it.

Sal,
Thanks for posting on this thread. We need more like you that will take a few minutes and help us understand the status of our orders.
I haven't ordered from you YET, but I think that is going to change real quick.
Please check your mail.

Kudos to Sal
This is starting to look bad, Chiken, 'cause I feel the same. Sal was one of the only tuners to answer a question I posted without trying to get a sale out of it. Mike Troyer was the other.
At least we can respectfully disagree on color.

Very professional business, and I look forward to dealing with him some more in the future. I have not dealt with any other tuners yet, so I cannot and will not comment on anyone else. I can only give an opinion of those whom I have dealt with personally. I understand that a lot of people have several issues, and everyone has the right to vent. That is part of why these forums are made available to us.
Good luck to all, vendors, tuners, and customers

Ya know
excited, I almost don't know what to say............. You're complaining(all over the place) and what mod(s) have you bought/installed for your L? As some of our Texas bretheren say "you're all hat and no cattle".
Our tuners/vendors run very small businesses and don't have the capital to support a large, never-ending inventory. Their dolloars go into developing, testing, tuning/refineing, manufacturing, and marketing parts and devices for a very fickle customer base. Sure, they miss deadlines and shipping get's postponed. So what--you're inconvienced for a little while but your truck is still running. My c/b was delayed for 2 weeks--I still got to work and back and my L ran the 1/4 mile.
Many times our tuners have bent over backwards to help us out and most of the time for little or no money. They want our business and we need their expertise. Try and get someone from Accel, MSD, Flowmaster, Summit, Hypertech, etc. to help you figure out why your L went .2xx sec. slower in the 1/4 than you thought it should.
Btw, your comment comparing our tuners to a defunct Kmart was inaccurate and uncalled for.

I've been waiting on a FASTair kit but I was told on the front end that it would take awhile. I called Lisa after a couple of weeks to check the status and she explained what Sal said above. They have been straight forward about everything. ***** happens and people need to be MORE understanding. The tuners don't make money by delaying orders. I'm sure it will be worth the wait when I get it. I waited for a caged lower pulley for 6 months and was pleased with the results when I got it. So give em' a break.
BTW, the phone works wonders for getting the straight scoop and not a lot of hearsay.

Sal is running the kind of company that I run. Take care of your customers first and they'll take care of you. I believe that the word of mouth from a previos customer will gain you more than any bought advertisement. I guess if your Company's name starts with the letter "J" your bound to get screwed somehow.
The only thing I didn't like about JDM was that they charged my card for all the parts the day I ordered, yet here it is a month later and I still don't have them all. It took nearly 3 weeks to get the first shipment, however they were helpful on the phone and and explained everything. I just think they should charge your card as the items are shipped. JDM's parts are all the highest quality parts I've seen thusfar and I plan on ordering more.

I don't know what type of bussiness you run (I'm not knocking sal here, I'm knocking you JB) But in my bussiness, the type of trash you talk will get you a good swift A$$ kicking.

thanks Dan for pointing out the complainer side of jekel and hide,
as i stated i am in NO WAY FLAMEING our tuners! with that said the K-mart bit may have been a little harsh also, i just want my $$$ worth when i order my mods/cattle to fill the hat monday 5-6-02 ,about $1200.00 worth, wich may not seem alot of $$ to many but to me it'a a big deal ,with a family and all, anywho i am ,all over the place that's why they call it world wide web ,just trying to absorb as much info as possible =6 years of payments on the L must be careful.
Once again i appreciate the work the tuners do and lfp and psp will be getting my call.
sorryy for the harm my post has caused anyone if any?
and thanks dan for following me around the WWW it's kinda fun huh =Listen i hear them longhorns comin around the bend LOL

Just moved the repsonse outside the quotes-Doug
