L owners- learn some manners

I don't have an L yet, but I'm savin up and will have one pretty soon. There are a few Lightnings in my town and I must say I compliment them on their trucks and they sure don't seem to appreciate it. I'll say "Hey, sweet loookin truck," and they'll look at me like, "What the hell is wrong with you, get away from my truck." This has happened to me more than once with a few different lightning owners. One time I said nice truck and asked a guy what mods he had done and he looked at me, rolled his eyes, and got inside and sped off. I know most of you all aren't like this, but for those of you that are, keep in mind that there are some people that really respect these trucks and how much power they have, so just say thanks next time, it's not that hard. Sorry if i offended anyone. Don't know about you, but if I had a sweet truck, I'd sure like it if someone came up to me and gave me a compliment.

Come on down to VA, we can talk as long as you want about L's and mods. Unless you meet me at the track and they call my class.. LOL

Hell my truck is a toy, I dont think that I am anything because of it. I let my friends drive it and play all the time, if I dont hurt it, noone can...

I know how you feel I get pissed off when people are like that, there have been a few I have meet with L's like that, and I dont know why? Why hide your mods? Why not talk to see what could work for you?

Us southern guys like to talk... LOL

Sal & JL must be southern at heart, I have talked to them for hours before....

Maybe you shouldn't be leaning on their trucks when you say those things. Just kidding - seriously, don't let a few bad apples ruin your impression of all L drivers. Most of us are cool, I think.

There are jerks in every demographic.

Thumbs down

Those guys are just ****y a$$ holes. I just got my L about a month and a half ago, any time someone says sweet truck or gives me a compliment, I am flattered. Keep saving it will be worth it, I promise, I have had to work my butt off to get my truck and I don't regret one bit of it.

I had some guys looking at my truck, at the airport the other day, and Walker can back me up on this. They were all over and around it talking all kind of trash about it. I mean they LOVED it!!

One guy kept walking around looking saying "SICK, NASTY SICK!!" and "ONE DAY!!" over and over. I eat that stuff up and don't mind showing my truck to anybody, hell, I love showing it off!!

Are you sure you're approaching these people the right way? Most guys love the attention that a Lightning gets. I know I do.

Maybe they got up on the wrong side of the driveway this morning.

I'm really surprised that you'd say that...I've talked to quite a few L owners in the Baltimore area while I was in APG. They all were extremely friendly and very willing to talk about L's.

My experience is that L owners as a whole are EXTREMELY friendly and helpful and are very passionate about their trucks.

I don't know if youre talkin about me but, if it is, why not tell me about it? I live 5 doors up the street. If I recall it was you I let drive my truck, you even posted about it earlier in the week. "Now im dreamin" or something like that. Hmmmm.

There are a few Lightnings in my town and I must say I compliment them on their trucks and they sure don't seem to appreciate it.
Uhhh.....How do you want me to apprechiate it if you were, let me see, 2-3 weeks ago bad-mouthing my L on how corvettes are better blah blah blah. ...Oh yea, really good compliments.

BTW, I really dont apprechiate you asking questions for me on how my truck runs with what products (diablo chip gains, borla gains, running lean, etc...)

I am always thanking people for compliments to my truck. I've only snubbed one guy. He was leaving smooch marks on my windows and eyeing my exhaust pipes in a very familiar way. He scared me a little. I got in the truck and left very quickly.

If that was you...... Well, what can I say.

There are circumstances that happen all the time.
Maybe the guy just broke up with his wife and she's
gonna get the bolt !!! <God Forbid!>

Every person I have talked to or met has been
a great guy/gal that was willing to help a noobie
like me.

Keep looking .. the good ones are out there

Wink

Maybe the guys you approached had an f150 that they made into a lightning and threw all the lightning parts on it and dont want to be embarrassed when they are asked to pop the hood. Also you dont know what kind of mood someone is in and they just might not be feeling like talking about there truck you just never know. Most of the fellow lightning brothers i see on the road always give a thumbs up or horn honk back if i do the same. So like i said dont know what kind of mood people are in.
