Ya know, I go to pretty exteme measures to make sure that if you pay me for it, you're gonna be happy about it. It's not just that I care about the trucks, (and I do, trust me), but the fact is every tranny I build has my signature on it (really, they do), and if my name is on it, I'm damn proud of it, the ones I do on the side and the ones I build for my Uncle Henry, too.
I even take it personally when someone's straight up factory unit fails on them, because my day job is to make sure that doesn't happen, and when it does, I feel bad about it.

Thanks everyone for liking my work, it means a lot to me.

I just got back from Level 10
They treated me awesome, took care of the problem no question asked.

They set me up with a hotel for last night, they put a few extra little mods in the trans and didn't charge me a penny.

I have to say they went out of there way to get me right in and out, I am a happy camper again

Geez. I wonder how much you have to spend at Level 10 to get that kind of service. If they did that for you, then you are the first person (except for the magazine people) to ever post positively about that place.

Thumbs down

Glad to hear that if you drive there they take care of you, too bad I live a few thousand miles away! My trans has been on my bench since last Saturday. I called them Monday 8AM and ordered another set of clutches (next day air) which should have been warrantied since the TSB on the diode. He told me $50 bucks and they would be here Tuesday. I called him Thursday after seeing an $86 dollar charge on my CC bill and no clutches. He said he was trying to find the "right" clutches and would get them here Friday if not then he would pay for Saturday delivery. I told him the trans was going back in this weekend!!! So as you might have guessed I waited until about 3PM then put it back together with stock replacement clutches. It will be back in Sunday. My CC is still charged by them. Very disappointing I must say. I told SAM to have Pat call me and left him messages all week long with no replies! They said he was either in court, meetings, etc...

If you have the mechanical doide (unit code J1) you should have changed the intermediate brake drum and eliminated the diode while you had it apart. You should have called me, I could have set you up on that one. There are no service parts that I know of made for the diode, if you have to work on it, it should be replaced with the sprag assembly, which means you have to have hte new drum, but it'll last a lot longer. Let me know if you take it apart again, I have a great replacement part for it.
