Question Single vs duels

How much louder is the duel muffler setup vs the single duel in duel out? I have heard that the single setup is pretty close to stock except at WOT. I'm talking the magnaflow mufflers. I'm most likely going with the silver bullet and it is availiable with either the single or duel mufflers...Any advice would be greatly appreciate. thanks

I have the Magnaflow 14468 (the louder one) and it sounds nothing like stock. It has a nice mellow tone, and when the pedal goes to the mat it opens up and sounds mean! It is a DI/DO with an internal crossover. I believe the Silver Bullet you are referring to comes with the quieter version 14568 but you may be able to substitute the louder one.

LIGHTNINROD has the Silver Bullet system, maybe he can chime in on how his sounds as well...

The louder the better! To a certain extent that is.

I heard the SIlver Bullet Cat Back over the weekend at the track. It had the dual one chamber magnaflow mufflers on it with the 5in tips...

It sounded really nice... Similar to my bassani.....

Hummmm.....looks like I'm leaning towards the duel magnaflow thay comes with the silver bullet setup. Are those 5" tips too big though for the opening on the ground effects? Anyone have a pictures on their L? thanks

Here is a link to a pic of my tips that Rich took this weekend

Here is a link to some pics and sound clips that I took

The tips can be adjusted so they are flush with the ground effects, but I like 'em this way.

I got my Silver Bullet Exhaust put on by JDM and I originally wanted the single muffler and unless you have the long tube headers you can only get the dual mufflers. The single did not line up with the stock setup. That is what Shaun(from JDM) told me while we were both standing under my truck.Unless they have made some kind of adapter you can only get dual catback mufflers.
I am now glad I got the duals because I love the sound and those tips.

The tips on my Silver Bullit system are 3 1/2" high, & 5" from side to side. I just measured them. They do fill up the cut out, but offer 1/2" clearance on both sides.

I'll be there Bob... Hopefully I'll be able to run. That depends if my traction bars are here in time. I'll try to bring a couple of other L's. See ya

They are not anything really, they are oval shapped. I know they are 5in in width though..... They are bigger than my bassani and they are almost 4in tips....
