What do you think of this "L"?
Just lower that thing and you've got yourself the best damn copy of an L I've ever seen. I would never spend that amount of money just to have a manual trans. over an auto. And this guy must have money to BURN. I want his job, to buy all that stuff from the dealer costs big $$$. Still nice.....copy
I was going to do that until I found out you couldn't even get the 5.4 with a stick, just the 4.6. Nor any other manufacturer. That means the above truck is only a 4.6! Not exactlly an "L". I even test drove the HD V-10 with the 6-speed, and was thinking about cutting it down to a short bed, but I didn't like the tranny. There's a conspirisy against mid sized engines with manuals in sport (reg cab / short bed) trucks, nobody does it (yet)!
Actually I'm gravitating toward paddle shifters. I know its a little wierd haveing a paddle shifting 2 1/2 ton truck, but so is it doing 12's in the quarter!

yeah really..
When I baught my truck new in 99 it was way hard to find a v8 in a reg cab flareside. Especially a black one with all the options I wanted. But after the L came out my style truck is everywhere. Hopefully a demand for light weight, full powered trucks will arise. Maybe then we will see some nicer trannys to go with them.
