hmm....

Bassani and Flowmaster are both excellent brands. As far as noise is concerned, I'm not sure which is superior but they are both much louder than the stock exhaust.

i have been told that you get the best sound with a set of longtubes and the bassani catback. you also get a big gain with the longtubes.

I put a three chamber, 40 series deltaflow, Dual 2.5" Inlet-Dual 2.5" Outlet FlowMaster on mine, and it sounds great. Especially at idle, low rpm/low boost. At high RPM/High boost it kinda sounds like a tornado coming out of a lions mouth.

Plus- I picked up about 12hp, 18 lb/ft. of torque (but I also added a K&N panel filter, too, so some of the gains were undoubtedly due to the combined effects).

Oh, and don't let the goobers at the exhaust shops tell you it can't be done. . .if they do, e-mail me and I'll send you PICTURES of my install to 'help' the exhaust technicians.

Hope this helps.

I just finished my long tube install on Saturday and I am VERY pleased with the sound coupled with my Bassani cat back. It really has a nice low tone at idle and a mean a$$ growl at WOT. I couldn't be happier

Question

From reading through the threads here on this site, even though i dont own an L yet, arent the basani and the JDM silver bullet have pretty much the same gains and sound? I'm probably wrong but thats just what i got out of it.

Jimmy,

From what I've read, they are pretty much the same soundwise. Jim at JDM said they had the same decibel level.
