Black isn't -that- hard to keep clean. It shows dirt more than any color.. but it's not like it gets any dirtier.
If you want an immaculate show shine 24/7, then maybe black isn't for you... but if you don't mind a little dirt showing a week after washing it... black is just fine. I just dust mine every day...
Most of my cars are black... my Z28 was black, and now my Lightning. It's the best looking color there is... even when it's a little dirty.
