Question Pressure washing exterior - good/bad? Opinions, please

Using a pressure washer seems like a good idea out here where the Freakin' Wind blows ***** onto the L daily. Curious if there's some kind of downside - other than leaving a window open by accident

I work at a cement manufacturing plant where it can be pretty dusty. When the wind blows towards the parking lot, there can be a pretty good coat of fine dust on the L. Most of it blows off when I get up to speed, but about once a week I will take it to the car wash down the road and hit it with the high pressure. But of course I NEVER use the brush! Surely the high pressure doesn't hurt the paint, but it may require more frequent waxing. Just don't put the wand too close to the paint and it will be fine!

I agree with 01Lightning.

I have had several new cars and a couple of old ones. I always use a high pressure car wash wand and I have never had any problems. Just don't hold the wand too close as above warned.

My 01 L gets a bath with a high pressure wand at least once if not twice a week. Bugs are bad around here this time of year.
