Homelink visor installed in L
For the 2001 L, you can order a visor with HomeLink for a 2001 Lincoln Navigator (Sunvisor with auxilary secondary visor) from FordPartsOnline for $245.84 plus $7.00 shipping. Does not have the memo feature which came out in 2002, but can be programed for three separate signals. I use it for garage door, security gate, and x-10 light module to turn on the outside light when I come home after dark. Part no. is YL7Z-7804105-AAB. It is not cheap, but better than having three remotes in the cab.
Ok here's the deal you can feel.
For the 02's (and 01's that don't mind losing the aux visor), Homelink visor w/ the memo note feature $269 + shipping.
01's- Homelink visor with the aux visor, looks / works same as stock $219 + shipping.
99-00 owners, if your visors look the same as the 01's and are illuminated then the above will work for you also.
In case you were wondering Ford's list prices for the visors are $394 & $315 respectfully.

I pulled the visor off and checked in the bracket hole and there was no wiring. Although I could not see up into it and i did feel around and it felt like maybe there was a mounted connector plug? up inside of the hole to the right. Could this be or would the wire plug just be sitting there?
Does your visor have a lighted mirror on the drivers side? If it has a lighted mirror it has to have power, if it does not have a lighted mirror than there probably is no wiring there. Hope this helps.
