The FordPartner site does not exclude SVTs from X-plan, and I bought my 02 with X-plan six weeks ago.

I'd still buy it from the other dealer, just because of the aggrevation. I would make a point of taking it to the first dealer for servicing and always stopping in to say 'hi' to the salesman. That really rots'em.

Snoopy,
I beg to differ with you the Partner site and phone number was the ones that said NO. if your dealer took your pin that was fine. I am just saying Ford X-plan says no to SVT. and if the dealer says no then there is no amount of complaining to Ford or SVT that will change that . I got my PIN through a true partner that I work for. My dealer said no , so I searched for a dealer that would. You can still get the PIN and paperwork but it is up to the accepting dealer to get it through. I am willing to bet they just mark it down and sell it at the new mark down price and conceal the X-plan. acutally they are still making money. if this is not believed then call the toll free number on the Partner site and tell the girl you want to do X-plan for a SVT Lightning and see what they say.

tallimeca - I thought Ford changed their mind on this and still offer the white for 02. I could be wrong, I probably am. LOL

hmmm.....maybe

I didn't hear this at all, but I do have the 2002 Brochure right here that doesn't say anything about white. You could be right. I hope they do just for lightning quick's sake. After that crap it would suck if he couldn't even get the color he wanted. Not a big fan of dealerships....period.

White Ls

White Ls for 2002 are actually being made. Several threads have already covered this.

One of the guys that works on the line post awhile back that he had seen some whites on the line and was added back due to popular demand. I forget what the Thread was , but it was an easy one to blow off, I am sure that was why it was missed

If the boss is any kind of business man he might take notice if you let him know how much business you have sent him and how much you are now going to keep from him by refering all future sales to another dealer AND recomending people don't buy from him. just my .02.

I am just saying Ford X-plan says no to SVT.
Here is the current text of exclusions from the FordPartner web site:
Here is how the program works:
You can take advantage of special discount prices on Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, and Land Rover. In addition, cash allowances are available for 2002 model year Jaguar vehicles.
Ford Super Duty F450-F750, Ford Thunderbird, Mazda MP3 and Aston Martin vehicles are not covered by this program. Exclusions are subject to change.

I could not find the word "SVT" anywhere on the site. In my mind that means they are not excluded.

I guess I don't understand the point in arguing about this. Whether the dealer actually processed the X-plan paperwork for his reimbursement is unknown to me. Nor do I care. I read the rules on Ford's X-plan web site, saw they didn't expressly exclude SVTs, and called around. About half the dealers I called in February said they'd do X-plan. When I bought my truck the sales manager went through all the motions of a proper X-plan deal, including showing me the invoice. I paid the same price others who also said they got X-plan paid. To me, I got an X-plan deal.
