I am so MAD!!!!!

I have bought about $200,000 worth of new fords in the last 5 years from my dealer including 2 new lightnings.99/00 .I send at least 1-2 people a month to my salesman because I believe in sending the same person buisness over and over. One hand washes the other right???!!!..............NO

He knows i was ordering a new Lightning at the end of this month so when I went in today with my deposit and x plan papers,His boss said he will not honor that X plan price. This dealer has made rhousands of $$ off me and people I send him and he has the guts to decline x plan for me? He knows the only vehicle i will buy is a lightning so he says," well honor x plan on anything except a lightning.

I have another dealer 100 miles away that wil do it anyway but this Pi$$es me right OFF!!!!!!!

What ever happened to customer service!!!!!!!!!!

I would go to another dealer and buy on the X. Go back and do a burnout in front of the showroom. Seriously, just buy somewhere else, plenty of dealers will honor it.

Call Ed Braken at Framingham Ford. Tell him I sent you and see if he will honor the X plan.

Hey Ray,
Gotta agree with ya, some dealers are just out for the last buck. Had a similar experience with a dealer I did business with. I'm sure he didn't mind losing me as he sold it to someone else for his price. Think how satisfied you're gonna be driving the new L after getting X plan. Looking forward to seeing you at NED!

im not a 100% but i was told that a ford dealer HAS to give you the X plan if you have the
proper papers/pin-

my info comes from the guy that sold me mine and he said they have to
honor it.

good luck

Angry

I agree wholeheartedly with everything already said here. Those guys should know that they don't hold the market in your area. Tell the owner/manager what happened and that you are going elsewhere - even mention the competition.

They may beg you to come back, but I would continue to walk, they've already made their motive crystal clear to you.

Best of Luck

Sorry to say, but no, the dealer does not have to do anything. Here is text taken from the Ford x-plan web site, under the section called "the rules":

Here are the main points you need to know about the program. Check our FAQs for additional questions.

* You can lease or buy your vehicle through this program. The only requirement with leasing is that the lease must be obtained through the respective brand's credit source. [Ford Credit]
* You are eligible for all public incentives plus many incentives normally paid to the dealer. Some special offers may not be compatible with this offer so check with your dealer to determine which incentives you are eligible for.
* Prior model year vehicles are only eligible through March 31st of the current model year.
* Used vehicles, including dealer demonstrators are ineligible.
* Trade-in allowances are not covered by this program and will likely represent the wholesale value of your trade-in. (may be lower than expected) (see FAQ section)
* Dealer Participation in this program is voluntary

It sucks that the dealer decided to be such a *****. I'd definitely buy somewhere else, then take it in and show it to the sales manager. Remind him of your past dealings, and inform him of the lack of future dealings. Tell him why, then walk out.

************UPDATE*****************

I just got a call from my salesman. It seems he went to bat for me and talked to the owner about the situation. They told me to come in and they will order my 02 white Lightning on X-plan sat morning!!

Im very happy now.

Im happy I got a good deal but Im more happy that someone looked deeper into the situation not concidering it just another sale.It leaves me feeling respected.Which is worth even more than $$

My salesman is gonna find himself a little bonus on this one!he will be recieving a letter and a some financial gratification in his home mail!

Lightningquick-congrads enjoy your new ride.

It was explained to me that they either except the X plan(all of the time) or they
do not except it at all .

They do not pick and choose who gets it.

No, They can except the plan or not all , but they can only use it on approved vehicles, unless the dealer voluntarly does other wise. When I called the Ford X-plan line about a dealer that said no to me , Ford said no SVT's or Superdity trucks
