That beats mine. I had some twit in a new beetle turbo try to give it a go today. It still had the temporary tags in the window. I'd let him catch up, the blast up another car length, then repeat. "come on biff, catch up" All the way to 80! Hahahahha!!

Turbonium? Yeah, right.

That technique really gets to them. I did that to an RX 7 yesterday, then at 40..I hit it just to show him I was playin with him. Next light he looks over and I give him the "make a muscle" with my left arm ( as in American muscle) and then I smile. Its very intimidating!!

Exercising restraint

I rarely waste my time or my gas on the obnoxious ricers. I make them go the extra effort if they want to see some action. And I prefer that they have at least one witness in the car with them.

Well which was it 96-97 or 98-99? The latter is an even better kill! Round headlights or square?

I have an old neighbor with a 00 Z28 that he has "tweaked" as he calls it. He is one of those guys that will never tell you exactly what he has on it, but he told me it was chipped and I have definitely seen the different intake and exhaust. I will give it to him that it sounds good. Right after I got my 01L, I was over by his house. He saw me and almost $%^* his pants wanting to race me. He comes running up to the truck and asks "Ya wanna run 'em". Without even a second hesitation, I told him "Line it up!" The look on his face was priceless. He started back tracking so fast with excuses, my other neighbor that witnessed the whole conversation, just cracked up and walked back into his garage! Most of those guys just think there cars will just SPANK a L. I had one the other day pull up next to me when I obviously was turning right at a light in VERY heavy traffic, and rev his Firebird up several times like it was going to be on. I had my window down just a little and made sure he saw me laugh and shake my head when I turned and gave it just a little peddle to leave in an orderly, but quick fashion!!!

I too do not waste gas on most of the cars that pull up next to me. #1 I don't like street racing, and #2 let the numbers show who is boss on most of these rides!!!

M3

I had an M3... coming home from church Wednesday night. Looking in the mirror on LBJ Freeway I saw a set of bright white lights coming in and out of traffic. He got next to me and immediately slowed. Gotta admit... I was pretty mellow and really not up for a challenge... but the guy persisted and I finally relented and nailed it at 65mph...

I'd like to say I ate his lunch but I didn't... he stayed a car length behind me for the duration... the only reason it was a car length was because I got the jump on him by a split second...

It was the previous model to the 333hp version that is out now but when he nailed it, I could hear his intake over mine!!! I definitely wasn't stock... nice wheels and tires... lowered a little too.

None the less... he didn't take me either
