0-60 Mph: Once & For All!
From what i've understood, the '99-'00 are nearly as quick (or as quick) as the '01-'02 ONLY when they're both modded equally since the '01-'02 PCM calibration is better (thus the higher HP/TQ). If they're both stock, the 20 more HP and 10 more TQ, plus the 3.73's allow the '01-'02 to be much quicker all around. Again, just what i've heard... and it would only make sense.
All right, everyone with Stock L's and a G-tech, get out there!
I know what you're all thinking, "Good luck finding stock L's on this site!!"

I know, that's why i posted that. Complete oposite of what i've heard. Not to mention the '01-02s show 0-60 in 5.4-5.8 compared to 6.2 or so for the '99-00. I would think the magazines would hopefully be more accurate than a "seat of the pants" 0-60. I'm no expert, just observing!

Yeah - I'm not saying I disagree with Sal either, but that is odd that Ford itself claims a slightly faster 60mph time for the 01-02 vs. 99-00. Is it really the engine tuning, or just the 3.73 breaking loose more easily and scrubbing off any chance of a clean launch? Just thinking out loud...
I do appreciate all the comments so far - but I am almost more confused at this point.
One thing is for sure, if I give my friend a ride he's going to get the fastest "5.8 second" 0-60MPH he's ever felt!
