Hmmm, I could make one of those with a new thinwall 5/8 sparkplug socket and a 4" extension. Just like 4D THNDR said, but I'll fire up the TIG machine and make them one, permanently.

Save a few bucks too!

Thanks Guys. AHHH, the Lincoln Lightning Socket

Snap On comes by my shop every wednesday. I can get that socket cheaper than what is posted on their website. If anybody is interested I can get them and ship it to you. For that matter anything you see on their site I would probably be able to get for much less.
90% of the tools on the website are marked up more than what you would actually pay from a neighborhood dealer.

I don't buy from Mac or Matco anymore and the quality IMO is nothing near Snap On.

Talking Plug socket...

I was talking with a friend of mine last night (he's a Ford tech, and came to my house to do the intercooler recall - it pays to have friends!) and asked him about the Snap-On socket. This guy, since he's a mechanic, absolutely hates cheap tools, but he told me about a socket that he found at AutoZone that works as well as the Snap-On would, but costs about $7. I haven't been by to check it out and get a part number, but he did say it was a black finished piece and was very heavy.

Another potential option? Hope this helps.
Steve
