Rollpans

Hey Guys,
I just heard from Sir Michaels and they asked if I would pay $450 for a rollpan with the end caps. I told them hell yea. The guy in Florida wants $350 or $300 for just the end caps. This $450 seems like a fair price and Sir Michaels has a great reputation for building top shelf parts.

Oh, I called about the end caps in Florida and was told too call back Monday and they might have some information on them, then.

So, we don't know when those caps will be coming. I do have the sidesteps this Guy made and they were first rate, very good work.

I am pretty sure they were around $200 when they first came out about 2 years ago. The demand is so high now and they look so damn good on the L, I would pay the 450, but I would rather pay less. You can almost get a hood for that!

Yes they were, but I believe that was with the rollpan only, not the end caps. With the end caps, everything sounds about right.

They are nice and all...but for $450 they better come pre-painted... just my opinion

I also received the 450.00 e mail. I really think that is price Gouging

My Reply:

Should be able to get Carbon Fibre Rollpan for less than that
$$$. I know I can get a Very High Quality Shaker Hood complete with Air set
up and Painted for what that Rollpan would Cost Installed.

There is a Sh**Load of 150 Flaresides and one Mold for the each Endcap
should produce lots of rollpans. If these Guys can Make all these Carbon
Fibre Dash Parts and make money on them you should be able to get a Quality
Carbon Fibre Endcap and keep the price competitive.

I remember paying $400+ two years ago. It's the old supply and demand thing.

What about dash pieces?

I would have to disagree with that one........the hood and air setup is $765, that is with the NLOC discount. Sure if you get in a group buy you might get it for say a little over $700. Then it is off to the paint shop for another $350-$500 out of your pocket.

So that seems to me that $700 + $350 = $1050 (best case scenario) is WAY more than a $450 roll pan + paint.

BTW...paint for the rollpan should only run you about $200-$300.

Just my $.02

Yes, but remember the end caps. The guy in Fa. wants $350 for those alone, the rollpan would be extra. So the price looks about right.

Oops...sorry I was under the impression that the rollpan and end caps came as a package.

I stand corrected.

From Sir Michaels, they originally did come as a kit.

I think we should get a discount for patiently waiting so darn long! What do you think? Sounds good to me.

I'm sorry for not being clear.

Sir Michaels - rollpan and end caps $450

The Guys in Fla. - just end caps $350

Sorry for making this so hard to understand. $450 for both is not a bad deal!
