Just back from FFW (for anybody intrested) new mods.
It was great to meet many of you guys!!!!!
I am still a little shook up from the greback crash as I was about 15 yards from his car as it was flying through the air @ 200mph. It was the worst crash I have ever seen in person. My prayers go out to Steve's family and friends.
Ok - that being said I will tell ya what I bought for the truck. Realize I am the biggest impulse buyer that ever lived . When I left friday morning I was experiencing some minor tip detonation and could not seem to get rid of all the way there (7hours) and I was more then a little aggrevated by the time I showed up at the hotel.
Saturday morning I had JDM burn me another chip and so I could run my qualifying passes with out worrying. The conditions were bad (headwind / weather) and the best I could muster was a 13.32 @ 102.56 My mph and ET at the 1/8 mile were 2/10's and nearly 4 mile per hour slower then I ran back home with a 2lb pulley (running a 4 now). So I was a little dissapointed in the trucks performance.
Anyhoo - while wondering around with credit card in hand I bought some stuff to get me into the 12's for sure on F1's..
1. interchangeable upper pulley set. They installed it there and put the small pulley on it too!!! I will be "testing" this week now that I am closer to home.
2. JDM (kooks) long tube headers (jet hot) with cats and cat pipes.
3. metco driveshaft loop.
Time for sleep now!!!

Hey Bob
How was the tip detonation on the way home?
Come on man no one is a bigger impulse buyer than me. My truck is at JDM's shop right now, and while I am waiting for it to get done I bought all of this.

Good to meet everyone this weekend and put names with faces. Flew in about 3pm this afternoon to Houston. Tired. Ragged out the Ranger a little before turning it in. Had lots of fun most of the weekend. Our prayers go out to the family and friends of Steve Greback. See everyone in Atlanta next month.
