Lightning Pace truck
Any South Floridians make it to the Indy Racing League races this weekend. One of the Pace cars was a 2002 red L all decked with lights and logos. Anybody get ant pics i wish i would have!!!

It wasn't a month after I purchased my Lightning that my brother scored free tickets to a nascar truck race @ the KY Speedway! Very cool.
The best part - They had two pace trucks, both new L's, White, Decked out with Logos. I've never had so many compliments from people about my machine

Are there L clubs around Lex-Cin ???
After I bought and brought mine home,
I noticed one around the corner from
my house that I never saw ... I think
that's an automotive rule .. you never see
that particular model TIL you own one ...

Madhouse, is that a pic of a different truck. It looks like a 99 or 00, anyway, it looks really nice.

That Red L in Madhouse's picture led the field at the Craftsman Truck race in July in Kansas City. I have pics of it leading the field in my album on this site. It just pisses me off that Ford can't do better in the truck series.......

Its not that Ford can't do better, its that NASCAR won't let them. NASCAR is bogus, and I wouldn't walk across the street to watch one of their races if they gave me a free ticket. Well, maybe if they gave me a free ticket, beer, and hot dogs. All NASCAR wants to do is maximize the gate, and they do that by tinkering with the regs so that different makes take turn winning. They want the fans of every make think they have a legitimate chance to win. The Tauruses had stopped winning in the regular series, and NASCAR feared an attendance drop off by Ford fans, so they allowed Ford to lower the spoiler height to make them competetive again. If NASCAR sees attendance fall in the truck series because Ford fans stop coming you can bet your sweet bippie that they will do something to help them win again. They will never allow a situation to develop where one make wins all the races, like the Hudsons once did, its bad for the bottom line. And who can argue against it, since NASCAR is the most popular form of auto racing on the planet, even though a few of us die hards prefer to watch something like F1, where the playing field is level, even if a couple of technically superior makes dominate.
