Talking Dyno Day Results

Went to the dyno this morning,
pulled a 351 rwhp and 436 rwtq, not too bad, eh?
we're not '"dyno virgins" anymore

only mods are: K & N panel air filter, 2# lower and chip......JR

Seems low. Stock '01's and '02's are putting around 350hp (at least 3 that i've seen) to the wheels. I would think you would be around 380hp.?.?

Thumbs up

JR
I think those numbers are good for that day, I talked to a lot of peaple and the ones that didn't make any changes to there trucks from last year said there numbers were down 10 to 15 HP from last year. Go Figure. Even my friend Dennis with the Turbo Regal was dissappointed with his 460 HP pull, said he thought it should be more.

It was good meetin ya, I had a good time there as ususal.
Dale
PS last year bone stock 99'and 00' lightnings were right around 330 hp.

SLVRLTNG,
Nice numbers! That's sounds about right! You shouldn't compare your hp gains to the same mods on a 01-02. You have a 00. You already have 20hp less at the flywheel when you insatalled your mods. Compare your gains to other 99-00's with the same mods. That should give you an idea.

JR,
Your numbers are quite low even for a 99-00 year for the mods you have, most 00 trucks dyno at 318-325 at the rear and torque around 405-415 at the rear. With a 2# pulley added and aggressive chip you should be at least 370HP and around 460 Torque and little higher for a 01! My 01 with just a 2#pulley and chip made 385HP and 474Torque at the rear on S.A.E corrected numbers! Maybe check with your tuner and get a reburn for a more aggressive chip and see how the numbers compare than.

Matt
