Jay Lincoln's Truck-Traks............
Available in the East from PSP. I've had them on since Oct. 2nd, and my best et before them was a 13.032. This was with M/Ts too. Two weeks later, I ran a 12.882(my first-ever '12') with a 1.882--60'(also a new best). No noise--don't even know they are there when daily driving.
A 'limiting factor' to using the TTs is the stock exhaust--the rear tip clamp is in the way, preventing moving the rt. TT as far forward as needed. This was 'fixed' when my JDM/Magnaflow cat-back was installed. The new tips arehuge --4 1/2" in dia. each but, the tail pipes are formed so that they are further forward than the stock ones and the tips are welded on--no clamps. Now my TTs(both lft. & rt.) are adjusted forward so that the rubber snubber is just behind the spring 'eye'--giving better leverage to plant the tires more firmly and aid a little in lifting the front of the truck--at launch. Just moved them forward last night--hope to get a new best Friday night.

Well nothing will stop wheel spin, except your right foot. All the traction bars will do is help weight transfer, and keep the axle from twisting.
I cast my vote for the JDM traction bars, I have been verry happy with mine.

JDM's modified long Rancho traction bars ( like on Don's Bolt ) in my opinion are the best out there. Once they're installed you NEVER have to adjust them. I run them on mine too, no broken driveshafts for me. Pole vaulting on the street or strip at 100 miles per hour ain't for me either!
They are strengthened for our trucks and mount perfectly. They are a little pricey but hey, you pay for what you get. And they look cool too!

I am using the traction device sold by Mike T. that Marc posted about above. I like the fact that it retains the stock look of the truck, and it works great. Very simple to adjust and works as intended. It is very inexpensive and gives you that sleeper(yea, like the truck could pass as a sleeper anyway) look compared to the traction bars.

Im with Don, your foot is the best traction device you can get. I am running F1's with 12000 miles on them and this past week I ran at the local track in 40 degree weather with 28 psi and pulled 1.79 60's. No traction bars at all. It just takes practice.

Chickenears, I bet that #13 mod is worth a couple of tenths huh?
I've been watching since you went to the track, and like myself
your obsessive.
Gotta love it man....

I couldn't tell any difference with the #13 mod at all. Go figure!
Yeah I guess I would fit in the obsessed class. I ordered some long tube headers, high flow cats, and a pulley yesterday. PLEASE, SOMEBODY STOP ME!! I've got the fever!! LOL But it sure feels good!
Next I'm getting high compression tail light gaskets.Tim

I cast my vote for Jays Truck Tracs. The "slapper style" bar has been around for ages, why, because it works! No need for those pricey bars, LOL
And yes, your right foot is the best traction device.

I ordered a set of the Upper Link Traction Bars the same as LFP and SFPHQ sells. I'm looking forward to trying them out very soon.
Here's what they look like for those who haven't seen them yet:

AggieSVT,
How long have you been using the snubber? Have you noticed the diffeence? I really would rather have this device on my sleeper L then anything hanging down or visible. It is funny, but true, most people just think that this is another short bed pick up, and I like that a lot. It gives you quite an advantage to pass and impress before they know what hit them.
