chickenears or someone who has done the same...

chikenears,

i saw your custom ford oval on your tailgate in the thread about uncommon mods. i have decided to do the same with the oval and somthing with the other badges on my truck as well. my question to you is how did you get the old badges off?? And what holds the current ones as well as the new ones on?? i have not ordered my new ones yet because i am still debating if want to spend that much money on it. it is a descent amount when you include the other badges as well as the oval. Atleast for me it is. thanks for your help.

Arom

The tailgate oval is held on with two sided tape. I used fishing line to saw through it. No scratches this way and it works. I used 12 lb test line. Start on one end and saw to the middle then start on the other end a saw to the middle. In the middle there is an alignment peg.

The new ones are attached with two sided tape also.

As far as the other badges, I think that the Lightning fender emblem is bolted on.

Hope this helps.

Nope, 2 pegs and tape. Same as the SVT F-150 emblem.

Which are interchangable, by the way . . .

Thanks Flash, that's good to know! Your Lightning emblem on the tailgate looks good!
