Extended Warranty, How much?

How much did you guys pay for your extended warranty?

Just curious, I don't want to get hosed!

84 month, 75,00 mile = $1,395.00

Is this any good?

If you know anybody better, let me know.

I've never even considered getting it because of the Mod's and all. I wouldn't expect them to stand behind the drivetrain now much less for extended time. Good Luck anyway.

I paid 1585.00 for 72mths or 75000 miles for Ford's PremiumCARE plan. Ford has three plans, PowertrainCARE, BaseCARE and PremiumCARE. I didn't argue with the price because I was happy with the fact that the dealer was selling me the L for the X-plan price.

I would not buy any service plan at all except I plan on keeping my L for a long, long time. Normally I don't think they are worth it but with the type of vehicle the L is with all the performance parts on it I think it is money well invested. Also, I would only buy a Ford extended plan. Just my personal opinion. Hope this helps.

Try Fordesp.com You can tool around with the different rates. The price is pretty reasonable.

extended waranty

I have a policy which covers my L for 100,000 miles and no time limit . The 50 dollar deductible includes everything including the supercharger. The cost was 900. Contact www.royalwaranty.com or 800 706 0015.

L in Detroit, That really sucks. Why did you cancel? Was it a Ford extended warranty plan? Thanks

ITL GIT, I'm from Miami also. We will have to hook up one day. This policy you got does it give you the same coverage as the PremiumCARE from Ford? I'm a little gun shy on extended warranty policies not issued by Ford. Friend had one on his Explorer and when he had a problem with sensors on it they would not cover the 600.00 bill.

My impression over the years is that third party warranties can be very difficult to deal with. It seems most are most concerned with denying coverage; and why not, as any repair cost eats into their profit. I wouldn't buy one.

Don's Bolt... I shot an email off to Jim. If I can cancel my current policy without taking too big of a hit I will and take a policy out with Jim. Heck, I've only had it for 9 days and 485 miles. Shouldn't take too big of a hit. I thought these extended warranties were sold by Ford and the price was the same across the board. Guess I was wrong. Makes Ford look bad in my eyes. But, I should have checked before I signed so it is my fault. I will never make this mistake again.

GregS... sounds like you got a darn good deal.
