Willamette Park off of Macadam is a nice setting. Don't know anywhere that we could get on and off the grass without sinking to the axles.

If anyone else is up for it there is an indoor Go-Kart track in Vancouver. Real wheel to wheel racing in competition karts. Fast and fun.

 

Great of you to all respond!! Anybody know of any High School athletic fields we could get on for the pic? We could maybe use Bridgeport Elementary School by Meridian Park Hospital in Tualatin. All we would need to do is get over the curb and we are in.

Oh, by the way. I'm only going to be there in person. My Lightning is back at school right now in Montana, so......sorry.
I want to be in a group picture too .......... oh wel, someday.

I didn't realize there were so many of you on this board that are so close by. I work two buildings down from that go-kart place Silver-Bolt mentioned -curious I've seen a silver L many times around 5:00pm pulling into the neighborhood across from Fred Meyers, is that you Silver-Bolt?

Anyway, it would be great to hang out with some other L people -I'm going to San Diego this weekend for the Supercross but the next time you all get together -please post it again.

A football field is a great idea. I was even thinking about Delta Park. There is a grassy area off to the Southwest of the complex, just to the West of the Soccer fields.

Guys, I'm gonna need Lightning backup because my high school students are itching to get a run against me and other Lightnings. Actually, they're all just bent outta shape because I won't join up with their illegal street races.

Anyway, if we're meeting on Saturday, I'm all for it. That means I have to get the truck washed (at least the top layer of dirt off) sometime in the next two days... I kinda like the idea of go-carts though.

Bill, can you find out if PIR is open and if they would let us "tread lightly" for a photo shoot?

There is also that big field to the right of the entrance @ PIR.

 

You could park at any number of places at PIR -they don't care. When there's a race or the Swap Meet that whole field is used as a parking lot. There's a good spot inside PIR at the motocross track too.
Really if you just want a badass photo shoot you should go down the gorge towards bonneville damn. I live in Washougal and regularly take the L or my CBR down the gorge through the twisty's -it's a GREAT drive, and beautiful scenery (as long as the weather holds). Then you can cut up and hit the Washougal River road on the way back(fun road!) or for those of you that live in Oregon, cross at the Bridge of the Gods.
Anyway, hope you guys have fun -and post the pic's. I'll catch ya next time.
