hey madness, you were sayin how you guys can mod your trucks to make the same hp as that ram and then we'll see whos the better truck, thats like us R/T guys sayin we're gonna mod out trucks to make as much hp as your trucks, and we'll see whos the better truck, Ls have 380 and run high 13s, if a R/T 380 hp it would run 12s, and everyones talk about how much more it is than the L, but when the R/T guys said how much more the L is than the R/T we were ridiculed, its all a matter of opinion if you ask me, opinion and facts..no harm meant to anyone

Besides the fact the Dodge is a bottom feeder, anytime Dodge comes out with anything remotely decent, they create false demand and shortage and charge way more than the product is worth(i.e. the PT Cruiser,Viper,Prowler,Caravan-when it first came out)From Dodge's history,I predict 1000 made at a retail of $50,000-$60,000.If you think that is high, look at all the high end truck prices now.Hell ford sells the Lincoln Blackwood for a base of $52,000.Dodge will put a hefty punishment on this truck. If you think not,go to a Dodge dealer right now and try to make a deal on a Prowler or Viper.I'll stick with my Ford Lightning until someone builds something better for the money.

The first thing I noticed about the interior was a 6-speaker stereo system , and real leather seats. NICE!!!

I wouldn't buy any POS Dodge though, well maybe a Hemi Cuda but that's it.

I don't see 500hp lasting to production anyway. And the no limited prodution thing, I don't think that they would sell too much more than 5500 anyway.

And the 24" wheels, that's the future. Ever seen high speed vehicles at Bonneville? I think those cars have about .5" if rubber and the rest is rim. And, look back twenty years ago 15" rims were high performance options, there just gonna get bigger.

Actual V10 cost.

As far as the price for the Viper V-10 when I priced it for my Dakota I was quoted just short of $17,000. That is just the engine not the tranny or any of the electronics to make the thing run. The truck does look nice enough but the price is going to be the biggest deciding factor. I still like the 2002 Harley Supercrew anyway.

Good point CNYELO, there is no revelancy. It should be based on factory configurations, otherwise it's just a paper race.

Dodge will not produce this truck....remember when the 93 ram was introduced and that show truck had a viper motor....when the truck actually came out, what did it have? Basically a stripe job and exhaust. I'll believe it when i see it .... my geuss is that version is forecasting another S/ST special edition - without the motor and tranny.

Either way somebody is always going to take over and be number one while teh other team trys to out do the other.

All us L guys are going to have to realize that the new SRT10 is going to be fast out of the box, faster then a STOCK L. Thats the key, not to many of us are stock, so bring it on. This is just going to make ford build us a faster truck now! We've had the past 3 years to talk all the chit to the dodge and chevy guys, well I guess its going to be dodge's turn, GOD THAT HURTS TO SAY!

even thought that trucks going to cost some crasy a$$ money!

I beleive that Dodge will produce this truck. They are not afraid to put concept vehicles in production..especially ones with parts already on their shelves.I think the wheels will probably be smaller (most likely 20 inch). The price will be large ..count on that and the dealers tacking on some big addendums (they stuck on 20 grand when the Viper was introduced) My guess is at least 10 G's more than the lightning. Don't forget the gas guzzling V-10 and expect 6-8 mpg around town. The 6-speed tranny on the Viper is strong and reliable..Chryslers automatics suck..that much is true. All in all it will most likely do 12.8's or so.(Dodge will not allow that truck to come near their flagship performance car) Also to get the big V-10 to do better will cost a bundle. Bottom line the Lightning has almost the same performance (with cheap bolt-ons it will equal it easily) costs 10 G's less (speculation) and has a reliable tranny to boot.As of now it still is the King of the Hill. And don't think that Ford doesn't have a few aces up their sleeves . Just Bring It!!
