Thumbs up

Whitetoast11, that would be SWEET! Get the collective braintrust together and forge out a really worthy successor to the Gen 2 Lightning. I'm sure most of us would work on it for FREE!

Haha! Don't you think we should at least "loosely" base it off of the next generation F-150 design? LOL

That prototype Ferrari reminds me of the batmobile. Who makes the Batmobile? Diamler-Chrysler or GM? Or is it Pratt&Whitney?

BMW-

I never said I was a lightning owner, I am one of those rare guys that spent even more than a lightning owner on his truck...a king ranch guy...we have our own problems in our little group believe me.

Specifically, I manage a group of CAD designers and engineers. We work with the auto companies on body design and development starting with the clay styling model (gradually being replaced by holograhic equipment and other 3-D rendering methods) stage all the way through production. Ford is one of our larger customers. We get to see and work on things that won't be in the showroom for about 4-6 years.

Soap-

just the other side of dequindre from you

Wow Logical... sounds like my dream job! I haven't done much clay modeling (most of my protoyping was in foam), but I used to do some Alias, ProE, FormZ, 3DS, and Vellum a few years back. I *used* to be a certified AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop user but... that was a long time ago too.

Wish I could hook up with you sometime and pick your brain... keep up the good work for Ford too!

I guess I was just poking a little fun at the Lightning owners in general and should have worded it better. It was just that I had just read a whole string of "I never take mine through a carwash", "I leave it in the garage all winter", "I raced the space shuttle and handed him his a$$", "I leave it at home on new years", "I only use special imported waxes"............

I understand passion about cars and went through that phase too with a few, but my perspective is a little older now and I see things differently.
Maybe somebody should tell "logical" that this is a truck enthusiast website.

I'm glad you are older and wiser and have set aside your childish ways and all of that crap... why are you reading this board if you have "passed" your car stage?

party pooper... whats wrong with imported wax anyway?

later,
chris

superfords-

I don't see the word "childish" or "wiser" anywhere in my posts. And I clearly haven't and didn't say I had "passed" my car stage. That's the first time I've been quoted and mis-quoted all in the same post.

And thanks, but Logical already knows that this is a truck enthusiast site. I think I still am one...just not the same exact kind of one I was 20 years ago. Just a little over-reaction maybe superfords?

Logical i love the king ranch trucks too, almost got one as a matter of fact, i just wish the new harley's were out and being sold with the L engine in them when i was in the market, i see one around town all the time and its just absolutely beutiful, love the big chrome rims, and the harley leather seats, just nice all around. Really thats what attracted me to the king ranch too, a friend of mine in this area owns a king ranch, the seats are soo nice, they look sorta like a saddle. I've said it before and i'll say it again, there are many days when i totally miss my 4x4, the only problem with the harley truck is, it just would feel odd to own the truck, but not a bike to go with it.
