This is a prime example for the argument of corporal punishment.

Its nice and all how some of you ppl think that anyone under the age of 21 is a dip$h!t. I myself am not perfect i have had 2 wrecks(one my fault) and a ticket for running a stop sign, but that doesnt mean that there are no good teenages. I know friends that have nice rides because they do good in school and dont act like dumbasses and have wrecks or get ticktes. Just because your older then someone doenst mean your mind is any older then theres. This is not directed towards anyone just expressing my view on this witch i take into account since i am 18. And no i dont have a lightnng(Not yet).

I know I would enjoy to have a "L" as my first vehicle but I think that would ruin (sp?)it. I would have nothing to ATTEMPT to save up for.
P.S i am young.
..........You showed that with your misspelling of the word "ruin"

Believe it or not, kids-When you are 30-something years old you will look back and realize what an idiot you were at 16. But there's no talking to you now. Just live and learn and grow old and wise. And don't curse at your parents

For anybody that has ever had an L bought for them as a present,,,,,,,, thats $32,000 that your parents/whoever just gave you out of their pockets just cause they wanted to see you happy,,, don't ever forget that. $32,000,,, some working families don't make that much in a whole year. Thats why you should always be greatful for what you have. Your dad could have taken your mom out to Hawaii three times over in a year with that kind of money. As a matter of fact if i had the decision to make and i had a kid who was 16, i'd be off in Hawaii and you'd be off living with your grandma or something till I got back. Thats why you should be crazy about your parents, i dont know many who would pick your first car as the first thing to spend $32,000 on.

Oh yeah? Well people think that I am just sooo spoiled just cause my parents bought me a new Lamborghini and a Leer jet for my sixteenth birthday, but I tel them they should try living on a measly little 25 acre estate, with only two guest houses!!

J/K

Now to be real, for all of you who still owe on their L's all you have to do is go on a Bank robbing spree, then you don't have to thank someone for buying it for you, You bought it yourself.

But really, I don't care that some sixteen year old had their parents buy them a $32,000 car. I just know that I would have killed myself at that age in my L.

Well, sounds like mike needs a spanking (is that what you call it at his age?)! First off, parents should think about the vehicle they buy thier CHILDREN. These trucks arent toys....with a combination of testosterone, peer pressure, and speed/power can KILL you! Everyone on this board knows what kind of power these trucks produce...would you let someone that has no experience driving a "rocket" borrow it even for a day? No way in hell. A first car should be getting used to driving....period. Having a sense of your surroundings, braking distances, rules of the road.

Let's talk about the agility of these trucks. They are not cars that weigh 2500lbs. You get a 5000 pound truck moving at top speed and try to swerve....you might be getting sideways at this point trying to regain control. The high center of gravity will literally blow you off the road. Now if you were to hit another car with 5000 pounds...you would demolish them.

So when we talk about buying our KIDS, that dont even have the experience behind the wheel, we really need to think about their safety. The other kids would admire a Lexus IS300 just as much. Do you want your kids street racing? Everyone who buys a Lightning mainly buys it for it's power/speed. Who's not going to use it? No matter what age.

I tell my close friends that this truck is gonna be my tomb (half-jokingly). I would never set my kid up with something that could easily kill me. Material things can ALWAYS be replaced but body parts cant. Love is much more important than any vehicle.
