You dog, you dirty dog, making me out to be a liar! There's no Z06 sittin in my garage. So my comment still holds true "no I do not own a Z06 so I didn't write a post with that type of biased."
I didn't want to get flamed by all the boys when I told them I had a slow LT1.
I can't win for losin. I go to the track in the Vette and get flamed by the Lightning boys. I go to the track in the Lightning and get flamed by the Vette boys.

First the truck holeshots the car(OPPPS! Z0006) .2 better reaction time. Second the Z is on F-!'s. If your gonna giggle about a kill compare Et Streets on both cars. The only thing worth comparing is the other end. The Z out MPH the Truck. HELLO Are you all that silly. I would be embarresed because I would know that the car or whatever would have beat me if they had the same tires I did.
The only thing the video proves is that ET Streets hook and F-1's don't. Whats that.
A STOCK Z on Et Streets runs 11.8-11.90.

I think lightnings are cool. Not here to **** off anybody. But, this is not a kill. It was a mismatch. I would be ashamed if a stock vehicle ran more MPH than me. It is a no brainer!

I think some people are forgetting that these trucks are close (correct me if im wrong) to 5000 lbs, so who cares what mods its got, the fact is, it beat the z06, which was the whole point of the post.

I think that Randyn needs to lick my nuts...It was an awsome run and even though its at the track I'll compare it to street racing, run what you brung and hope you got enough!!!!
Do you actually think for one minute that anyone cares if the Z06 is stock??? And for that matter do you really think that if both those vehicles were on the street ( both sporting ET-Streets ) that the vette would get the "L"...NO...even on the street with good tires the "L" would out ET his azz!!!! We're all in our hobby together and it doesn't really matter, cuz our purpose here is to celebrate ( compare notes and so on and so forth etc... ) the Ford Lightning!!!!
We could say that our $32,000 ( with say $5000 in mods maybe less, maybe alittle more, so that would make it a $37,000 truck ) truck spanked your $50,000 vette ( still overpriced, stock or not!!!, believe me I've had both I know ) and if it broke then we could change our tires and offer to tow you home!!!
And your the one gettin silly Randy...Registering on this board just to start something!!! This thread was posted nearly a year ago!!!

Totaled-great run and an awesome video, if you pull up next to someone at the track you have to be ready for whatever the other guy has under the hood mods or not.
CHIKIN1- The Z is about more than modding for the 1/4 mile and as far as the street goes, you will be ahead in the L till the first curve where the Z will out brake, out turn and generally hand the L its A$$. I know, I have both in my garage, different toys for different duties, both very cool rides that most people would give there left nut to own.

Galaxy: Did I say anything about curves....NO I too have owned a Z06....I really liked it, but instead of keeping it I decided to let it go as the "L" is better for me "All the way around"...Your trying to compare apples to oranges anyway!!!

I to have owned a Z06 and a Mallett 435 which was faster in every way than the Z06. Since I prefer drag racing I decided the L was best for me and it has been much faster in the 1320 than either of the Vettes I've owned and with much less money spent. I also like the L better as an all around vehicle
