Help with wiring
I have read before stuff like...."I tapped into the #4 pin"
My question is how the hell do you know what each pin is used for and what each pin number is.
Do you guys have a manual or something???

Well, All electronics and stuff that uses connecters has diagrams for pin location and purpose.
If you are asking this question about the A/F gauge hookup!!! I wouldn't recommend wiring that way. You can run the risk of shorting out other things.
I wired mine directly in the O2 sensor. The black wire is your signal!!

2_FAST4U !!!!!!!!!
That is exactly why I was asking.......thanks for the help.
The only reason I didn't want to wire it into the O2 sensor is it says on Auto Meter's directions not to do that b/c some O2 sensors have "shielded" wires. Also it doesn't matter what O2 sensor I tap into does it????
Thanks again......Joe

Joe,
You can access the signal wire for the O2 sensor very easily!!
I used a incline crimp to splice the two wires together. Trust me....you will want to do it like this....if you splice a pin you run the risk of shorting the computer and then you are deep chit!!!
Oh, the drivers side O2 sensor is the one you want to splice.

I agree with 2_FAST4U about splicing into the O2 sensor. If things don't go right pull the sensor and replace it.
The black wire is correct and I used the back sensor drivers side.
