What Do You Think About Your Ford Techs???
I have been real lucky with my tech's, they do great work,
respect my truck, the only time I ever had a problem was when I had to leave my truck for the day, They said they would get
right on it. A friend picked me up for lunch. We ran a few miles to
pick up another friend. When we got to the steak house. Dam, there was my truck in the parking lot. Would you belive (6) Ford
guys piled into it and test drove it for lunch? Now tell me that is
policy!!!! Would either of these guys had given me the keys to
their rides? Don't think so. WEll I lost my need for lunch. I had
my other key with me and just drove my truck off. Six hours after
that The delar called saying there was a problem with my truck.
They had no idea that I had my truck. So I played with them for
the rest of the day, They did fess up to the guys lunch break with
my truck. Short story long, I now no matter how long it takes,'stay
with my truck. My har work, my money, I LOVE MY FORD>

Every time I have took my '01 truck to the dealer for a problem I receive it in worse condition than it was before. I don't think that means all Ford techs are bad.
1. 5 days after I bought the L, I noticed a vibration at 90 mph. I took it in. They won't give me a loaner car. They balanced the tires. While moving the weights they scratched the $300 a piece wheels. Keep in mind this was less than one week after I bought it.
2. One day after the first service visit I bring the truck in again. They won't give me a loaner car. Still has 90 mph vibration. They rotate the drive shaft 180*, rebalance the tires, rebalance and rescratch them. They won't pay to have the wheels repainted.
3. I call SVT and they say to have them equalize the exhaust. I wait a week for the dealer to verify that that could be the problem. I set up an appointment to have the truck exhaust equalized. They don't give me a loaner car. I take the truck in to the dealer. When I go back that same afternoon to pick the truck up, there is a problem. My truck door had been poped open and all of my stereo equipment was gone. I took me several months, BBB, t.v. station, state dept. of consumers affairs, and a law suit to get the money back from the dealer. I end up installing a Borla cat back system. No more vibration. Oh, I forgot to add that the seat had grease on it.
4. I have a spark plug blow out of the head of my truck. I take it to the closest dealer, they say I don't qualify for a loaner car. I call another dealer and they won't give me a loaner car while the truck is being repaired. Third times a charm right? So I go to another dealer. They give me a loaner car, keep the truck 2 weeks for the repair. When I get it back the front bumper is scratched and the grill has a couple places where it has been gouged.
5. I have been waiting 2 weeks for replacement Fog Lights because the factory ones are heat cracked.
6. I'm almost positive my driver seatbelt has a defect, but they say it is okay. The button stays half way down when it is latched sometimes.
I have dealt with 4 Ford SVT Blue Oval dealerships and they all suck! I don't put all the blame on the techs. It has to do with management, owner, FMCO., service advisers.
I bought a performance truck. I paid for the little SVT emblem on the tailgate. My truck deserves better treatment than a non-SVT vehicle. Ford builds it into the price.

Good info!!! That is what I am afraid of when I go to a dealership. People think I am crazy for standing right by the tech when he works.
Believe me, I don't like getting on someone like this guy or fordtek, but they were ignorant to our concerns and that is no way to do business.
I know, its just the net, no one will know who these people really are, but just to listen to a Ford Technician say he would sabatoge a autowatch system and laugh in the customer's face when they come in to complain is just plain wrong and childish.

Oh man to find your truck out on the town,then drive it off thats great.It would have been great to drive back to the dealership and ask the service manager how the work was coming along.
Or drive to the resturant and ask the dumbass mechanics(lot boys) if they needed a ride.Oh the posiblities seem endless.....

My age means nothing. I would never sabatoge and autowatch system (even though i really never heard of it ) And if you were in my dealer i would love to have you stand next to me while i work on your truck. Keep in mind i paid the 30k for the svt badge to. I do not agree with eveything that fordtech was saying. ! But some of what he said was true. I hate hearing horror stories about some people in here and there dealers. But that does not give you or anyone else to classify us as dirtballs dropouts etc etc. This went to far i regret even starting it. i was not trying to start any war. I was just curious on how other people felt besides the usual ones who bash there dealers. ...... to jefflightning the guy that called me a moran ? i wont respnd to your childish comment .

It's pretty simple: Mechanics don't like dirtball customers, and customers don't like dirtball mechanics. I've had both types of mechanics, dirtball and professional, and it's not hard to tell the difference when you're watching them.
In general, my experience with Ford mechanics is poor. However, the dealer that can't or won't hire competent mechanics, and pay them a fair wage is at fault. I've been to some small town shops where the pride of the dealership showed in the techs training and attitudes. They were professional and did a professional job. I didn't tip them, but I have written letters to Ford expressing my appreciation...not for the good service, but for the professionals working in the dealer's service department.
I've also been to dealerships with 'great service', and it ain't so great when they fix something and you find scratches and grease later...too late to prove they did it. Most of the 'great service' dealerships try to keep you as far away from the techs as possible...you really don't want to see what they do to your vehicle.

I'm sorry but the only jerkoffs in any ford dealerships are the service MANAGERS not the techs who are paid to do a job. I recently posted my bad experiences in ford service departments the techs were more than helpful and willing to solve my problem but th c***sucker of a service manager was only interested in getting my truck IN & OUT as fast as possible regardless of it's condition! I personally heard him dismiss a customers complaints of POOR IDLE to the tech because that could take to much time to adresse. So next time you visit the ford dealer give the mechanics a break, it's more than likely that the service manager is a complete d***head!
It's true however that the techs do not respect the owners opinions. I was getting an oil change and saw the grease jockey peel out with my truck! Who the f**k does he think he is? that's my truck and I'll peel out if I want to but he has no right to do so. Also last time it went in for service it was given a road test to the tune of a Quarter tank of gas! I want to know how long was the test drive 2 hours now I'm pissed lol

Only Jewish tech I know of is Levine at Tem ford Marietta. He knows his stuff and mod friendly! Had another guy, against my wioshes do intercooler fix. Car was supposed to be parked in service drive overnight,but wasn't. Set trip meter to 0 drove 5.8 miles. Sv mgr said this was policy after any engine or transmission work? Any of you guys confirm this? Also changed radio station to country, and worst of all put a nice scratch on door that dealer will fix. Going to insist on Levine from now on!
