Bought her today in Maroone Ford of Margate (for you South FLA folks) for $31,800 with Tonneau and Bedliner underneath......

They did good on my trade in, so payments won't be too bad...

So I'm sure my facial deformation due to excessive grinning shall begin within a few days........

I'm picking it up about 35 miles from home..............I'll be driving on the highway the whole way of course; any recommendation on what not to do, other than the obvious?

I guess more specifically I'm talking about breaking it in; a lot of you guys have different opinions..........

Don't ask JL, he drove his new 01 six miles and ran it at the 1/4 mile strip--turned a 13.2xx, I believe--LOL

Hey congrats....i just bought mine 4 weeks ago. I believe in breaking it in just like your gonna drive it. Although i did kind of baby it for the couple hundred miles. Then at 400 put in the JL chip and Filter. Soon after that ram air. I now have 960 on it and it runs great. No leaks.misses etc. I use to replace head gaskets on 5.4 liter Expeditions and F 150's all the time for oil leaks at the back of passenger side cylinder head that dripped on the exhaust. That worried me about buying my new L...but havent had any problems yet. But anyway...like everyone says dont maintain a constant speed over long distances and be a little hard on it from time to time to get the engine used to higher rpm's as well as lower rpm's. Just wouldnt recomend any hard running for awhile. Other than that enjoy...i know i do

I have been in Miami all weekend...

There are only 2 L's left in the Dade County area.

One at World and one at Gus Machado.

Both are inside, and I did not get to take it for a test drive.

The white looks so sweet!!!!!!!

But I am going to get a Blue 2002...

 

Hey, if you're looking for a white one, DON'T, I REPEAT, DON'T buy either one of those you said.........The one at Gus Machado was majorly scraped on the bottom front when coming off the truck, and will probably need a new bumper............................the one at World Ford of Pembroke Pines is also a little scratched in the front bottom of the bumper, and has almost 700 miles.........I suggest you go with another color, or order an '02 like you said..........the White one I got was on hold since last Saturday, and has 30 miles, and no scratches

anyways.........good luck in your search and decision, whatever you may end up doing
