OT: Anyone know of responsible breeders with available Boxer pups?
I'm looking to add a new puppy to the family but I'm unable to find a responsible breeder in the Texas area with Boxer puppies available...Any help is appreciated! I will travel for the right furbaby.
We just got another boxer 4 weeks ago. Bought him from a breeder in Mineola. All of them are registered and the owner is **** about the way the dogs are cared for and raised. She even starts house breaking them for you until they're old enough to take home. He is brendal colored and HUGE!!! His name is also "Lightning" LOL!! Drop me an email and I will give you her name and number. studduck66@aol.com

Check out www.boxerrescue.com click on the " available dogs" link...I am the proud Papa of two boxers, a brindle female, and a fawn&white male who by the way will be 14 years old in January..Boxers are the only Pups I've had ( 5 in the past 30 yrs ) The two I have now are AKC registered and my male is what some breeders would consider to be near perfect, and you know what it doesn't mean sh#t ,which is just me being honest,I paid alot for my dogs but after seeing the rescue I know where my next ones will come from...Good luck in your search

No flame intended on the AKC comment, I meant it to say it means Sh@t to me, I was involved with breeding Boxers in the past and am really passionate about them, After seeing the rescue I don't know that I could buy another when there are so many who need homes,

I appreciate the help fellas, but I'm a proud father of an 8 week old Brindle/Flashy male pup! I went to this guys home who had the puppies in his kitchen...seemed like a man who loved his boxers. His boxers were laid out on his living room couch with his children....a wonderful sight to see! Went there with only the intentions to look but thisone particular pup knocked the other pups out of the way just to lick my legs...I had to have him!

You might look at http://clubs.akc.org/abc/abc-home.htm. Knowing your breeder is important. I have a female brindal that we rescued from east Texas and she had heart worms, but she is ok now. We also have a male fawn, "daddy's boy". An overgrown lap dog. Both sleep at the foot of the bed. Great dogs.
