another youngen

21 years old here. Been through an 84, 90 Bronco's. Bought my 2000 Explorer Sport, put up with it for a year and couldn't resist the Lightning.

I graduated High School on a Friday and went to work full time on a monday, been working ever since while all my friend have been in school since 97 and all seem to work meaning less low paying jobs. I do live at home still, and will be for the next 4 years. Took a hard beating trading in my Explorer. Up here in Massachusetts, you can make morgage payments for what they want for rent for apartments.....won't be moving out until my girl graduates from school and Lightning is paid off. I already told her she's signing a pre nup on my L before we get married, she can have everything else. She hates my truck!!! I thing she loves it deep down inside though!!!!

Add another 48 yr old here On my second Lightning and my first 26 yr old girlfriend. BTW bought my first new car in 73, a Gran Torino Sport, red, black roof and with the laser stripe down the side, nice car $4200.00. I can only wish that I had something to drive like a Lightning when I was in my 20's

42 year old body with a 21 year old mind, my first car was a 68 candy apple red mustang fastback that I paid 300.00 for, I took out a bus stop sign, concrete bench, and hit a unyeilding coconut tree, the momentum fliped the car into to the intercoastal waterway, when I came to I was upside down underwater and in pitch black darkness, I came face to face with god that night underwater, I didn't hang around long enough to introduce myself thought it best I got the hell out of there and haven't had a another drink since. Glad I didn't have the L back then I would have surely killed myself with this much power. Shotly after that I met a good woman who straightened me out and we have been together ever since, that was 23 years ago. Sometimes we gain wisdom without age.

This is a great thread, it's nice to know who's out there in cyberspace. The title should be changed to post your bio! I guess it's my turn.

I'm 25 and I graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. My past cars were a '65 Mustang GT, '91 Mustang GT, and '99 Vortech'd Roush Mustang.

I sold the Roush and bought my '92 Mustang GT (Emerald Green, 60K miles) and the Lightning. I miss the Roush, but I think the Lightning is faster (the Roush made 325 rwhp).

And for the guitar fans out there, I like to tinker with my '56 Fender Strat (Custom Shop Relic).

47 years of arresed development here. Saw 135+ on my way back from the SEMA show today.

I know it'll go faster! I just ran out of room.

age>>

well heres a story as to what happened.

I had a 98 f150 as most of you know and hate me for doing it but i invested over $15,000 into it to make it a lightning. i only had 300hp in it and had plans to do an engine swap when i decided to sell it.

Damon aka 99blklitng convinced me to sell my truck and buy a 2001 lightning. After letting me ride with him (and even drive his truck a few times, {damn now thats a friend, loaning the keys to your lightning}) i decided i have to get a black 2001 lightning.

So we go up to Homer Skelton Ford in Mississippi and the dealer let me test drive the L. He told me to drive it like it was mine so i hit 120 on the interstate in no time.I knew it was time to get one of these. The speed is incredible.

Well i went home and the next day i went out and bought a Silver Lincoln Navigator 4x4.

WTF was i thinking.

I mean as much as i wanted one of these i went and bought a big *** SUV.

Well i have plans this summer to pay off the $14,000 i owe on the Gator and then buy a 2002 or 2003 lightning.

This way ill be able to tow it to the track with my supercharged gator which i hope will be in the low 14's by the end of next year.

Damon tried his best to get me to buy one and i may not even wait that long. i may just go out and buy one here when they start releasing the 2002 models.
I can afford another car note just wont be able to mod the **** out of the gator.

well what do you think i should do?

By the way ------ i'm 19
