Wink

here we come,
rolling down the street,
we get the funniest looks from,
everyone we meet,
Hey Hey, it's the SS,
there will never be more than one,
and if you want to drive it,
you better be John Moss' son

I saw a recent Motor Trend TV show where GM held its annual Special Vehicles day where lots of journalists and others could see and drive the various concept cars. With respect to the Silverado SS, the MT TV guy directly asked John Moss if the Silverado SS would be going to production, and John Moss said that since the SS has generated LOTS of interest during last year's show and this year's show, his team of engineers are seriously looking into how the Silverado SS can influence future Silverados. Pretty vague statement if you ask me. Definitely not an admission of the SS going to production any time soon. But geez, 480 hp and 480 torque with an extended cab? That would be nice.

Another cool GM concept car was the Grand Prix G8 (basically a Grand Prix with a V8 engine, probably an LS1). The new 35th Anniversary SS Camaro looked good too (the MT guy was doing lots of donuts and really smoking and abusing the rear tires, very cool looking).

That won't make it to production w/ Chrysler's current state in this economy.

Hope the 5.7 at least makes it into the Ram soon

Im no Dodge fan, but I'd sure hate to see them continue to waste an updated chasis on the outdated 5.9

4.7

I saw an R/T the other day (orange like color) and it said 4.7 on it and I was like WTF!!!

I didn't know they went to a 4.7 from a 5.9, what is the hp rating on the new engine, has anyone tried one yet from a light.

Still another loser for the dodge boys :o

I actually saw a guy the other day in an "R/T", or so I thought.

Upon closer inspection it said 3.9 R/T...

Plus the 195/50/16's didn't help his theory much either...

Chevy will make it 50,000 dollars, no doubt, plus they need over 100 more HP to beat the L.
