Flareside - Nice!

Love that color of blue, would probably get a new 02 if they offered that color.

Nice,

Mark

Just happened in mine

Driving a '97 that just turned 200,000 miles today. A great runner that looks great too.

This evening while driving home, approx 65 mph, the OD light started flashing. The OD switch was working fine and there were no other noticeable problems. When I turned off the ignition and restarted it the light stayed off.

I've seen several different treads that have covered this and several have mentioned the light that stops after restarting.

Can anyone tell me what they found out, as far as what the problem was?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Doug

This same thing happened in my 96 SHO, it is a tranny selenoid. It would make the converter not lock up (overdrive) and every time I would turn it off and restart it the light would be off for a mile or two then come back on. Don't overthink this stuff, like someone said, it "could" be chip related, but I would put good money on the selenoid.

I agree moonlightblue would really look good on a L. Probably someone could photoshop it for us.

Isn't that a GOOD THING...
He searched, found a similar problem, read about it, and brought it back to life to see if there is any more information available.

That is EXACTLY what we want people to do.

Yes - But the time is important - If for example midnight blue is a discontinued color or the transmission issues have changed in that time

Just wanted everyone to know

Yes I'd seen that this was an older tread.

But it seemed to have the most relivant info and all the other treads were shorter lived and didn't get as many replys.

As far as the color thing, I could care less.
But everything I've seen here and else where, mentioned the problem I have had. But not what they discoved the cause was.

I've seen people mention verious things, Solenoids, O2 and other sensors. But none were specific enough about there symtoms for me to guess what mine most likly is.

I am not having Hard shifting and the OD seems to be working fine, so far anyway. Just the darn light was flashing.

I like to do most of my own work myself so any help that could keep me out of a shop would be appreciated.
