Question Intake Opinions

I am looking into getting a aftermarket intake, but I am not sure which one to get. I also need to get a power pipe. Any suggestions?

Thanks

There are two versions of the Gen II Lightning manifolds, the early with open runners and the late, with seperated runners. I don't know of anyone making aftermarket manifolds for either of them because of the complexity of the intercooler.

Since you posted the question in the Lightning forum, I'm assuming that you are running a Lightning powertrain. If you have the early manifold, a late blower can be redrilled to match it, but most early blowers cannot be correctly re-drilled unless the are made with the late casting, but drilled for the early pattern. Those blowers began to show up in the mid 2000 production.

You've also asked about a power pipe. What exactly are you looking for?

Kerno:

I ment the air intake, just something to replace the factory airbox. And the power pipe is just the inlet pipe from the MAF to the TB.
