Question ? On Installing Billet Switches

I just received my billet switches for the controls in the door today . I was just wondering how exactly do you remove the factory switches & install the billet ones? I geuss I should've found out how to do it before I ordered them, but I just could'nt wait. One other thing I would like to say Thanks to Sal at PSP for getting them to me quick. Any info. would be appreciated.

1BADL, first off all, let me apologize for the lack of directions with the billet kits. I get these from another company, and did not know they had no directions done for them yet. This does not please me, and I have been pestering them for directions so hopefully I will have them soon, and maybe I could fax you a copy. They say the door switches just "pop" off, but I'd rather see some actual directions first before trying it.

First of all thank you Doug for the info. on how to get the panel off. I was sweatin bullets the whole time while I was pulling & prying on the plastic to get those switches out, but I finally got them all on. The only one I could not get was the control for the mirror. Sal that's ok about the directions I understand. If you do get them please let me know on how to do the mirror switches. If anybody has done this or knows how to get buttons for the mirrors off please let me know. Thanks, Sam

I have done this mod... You have to pry the mirror switches off with a small screw driver prying straight up. The mirror adjuster you will need to use 2 screw drivers in order to pry straight up. Use a rag to protect the panel itself. They will pop off. I was very nervous doing this but they came off with a bit of pressure.

I agree directions would have been a plus

Post some PICS when complete. I am sure many would be interested in seeing the finished look.

Thumbs up It's Easy!

I sell those switches too! As well as the A/C *****. You don't have to remove the switch panel at all. Use a very SMALL flathead screwdriver to pry up you fatory switches and "pop" in the new ones. They snap right in.
Same thing for the mirror switches, just pry them up, and snap in the new ones. BOTH doors less than 3 minutes total installation time.
