I called today just to ask if my lightning was part of the recall and the woman took down my vin # and even knew the dealer that I wanted to get it done at because I have had other work done there before. she never asked about the letter. she told me that the parts would be sent to my dealer and they would contact me in 5 days. my intercooler is not leaking but it does not matter I want it changed. later 95rcobra.

The RECALL Campaign # for I/C replacement: 01B81.
Have any Ford servie department do an OASIS (they'll need your VIN) for your truck, and it will show the recall # and it will be listed as an "open campaign" for your vehicle (untill it is fixed). If the service department doesn't recognize this as a recall, have them print out the service advisory letter for the recall. This letter explains to the dealership the terms, condition and eligibility of the recall. It has been posted that some dealerships won't order parts untill owner recieves recall notice from Ford. I still haven't recieved my notice, my parts are in and the swap is being done next week. This is an I/C replacement, regardless of leak, REGARDLESS OF MILEAGE on vehicle! Ford won't swap plugs, O2s etc... unless there IS aleak or they can pull a code indicating other problems.
