Way to go!

I didn't figure any gain from these things, but you were testing them against the factory plug. I could guarantee that compared to NGK's or some good copper plug they wouldn't be any difference in power.

Now, I'll test the Beru Silverstones and see what they give us (I'm guessing maybe 5 over factory).

Thanks man!

Matt, know that I appreciate your dyno data, as most of the time, it's my stuff your testing . I put the Densos in our 01, and while I didn't dyno test them, I'm pretty sure I feel the motor "revs" quicker and does feel a tad stronger on the top end.

I would just like to point something out about the testing of these Iridium plugs in relation to the MM&FF article. The truck they tested the plugs on was suffering from high rpm misfire. The Denso plugs CURED the misfire, and therefore RESTORED the mentioned 30hp. The plugs did not ADD 30hp, but they fixed a problem that was TAKING AWAY 30hp. In my opinion, these plugs are worth the money. That of course is pending if they hold up the abuse. But I feel more comfortable having a set of plugs in my truck that I know will stop high rpm misfire before it happens, even if it doesn't show huge power gains on the dyno. Just my thoughts .

OK, so now who does the tests to see how much indexing is worth on the dyno?

I'd be more than glad to do it, I just need someone to give me their L for a couple of days!

On the serious side, were the plugs indexed? I've seen tests showing 5-8 HP on a NA small block. Worse case luck of the draw install vs properly indexed could mean 10-12 hp, maybe even more on the L.
