Denso Plugs Dyno Results
Here are the results from my dyno last friday with the new Denso 1 stage colder IT20 plugs.First of all we made 2 runs before then we put the new Denso's in about 1.5 hours than started truck to bring the engine up to temperature and they made 2HP and 3ft.pounds of torque all through the power band.My air-fuel also went down from 12.0 to 11.8 because of the colder plug i believe.This is far from what the magazine said and only time will tell if they hold up under all climate conditions!They seem okay so far but not sure if i will shell out $100 next time around!
Hope this helps!

Matt,
Great work. Before you E-mailed me, I was expecting a slightly bigger gain than that.
As you said...the real test will be on the track. Keep up the good work,and dont let a few keep you from posting your finds.

I would also like to thank you for your contribution of time and effort for this and your exhaust experimentation
$100 for 2rwhp may sound like alot to some, but, HP doesn't come cheap after a certain point. Also, I know of several other mods that offer less HP/$ ratio.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the effort to test and to report your finds. $100 for plugs....think I 'll just buy two cases of Budweiser, a bottle od JD, fill the Lightning up with gas and pocket the rest. But hey, that's just me. Thanks again for your report
Matt;
Thanks for the info...2 hp here and there add up. If they are durable, then it's worth it. Usually a gain across the board also smooths out the powerband.
OTOH, look at it this way...If you had gained 40 hp, then you would have to put up with all the posts accusing you of lying, BS, not knowing how to dyno, etc...

Matt,
It's great you are checking out all of these things for us. Thanks for letting us know your results.
Do you plan to come over to Byron for the LLNESS Fall Truck Shootout this Sunday and the debut of Rob's newest mod? Hope you can make it. If not, maybe we will see you again on Saturday at Terry's place.
