I just tought I'd try the waters out to see if we might get some Garden State (NJ) L. owners who might be interested in getting together some time. My home base is Barnegat NJ and maybe we could find a central place to hookup one day like a Sat. or Sun. What could it hurt, we can only give it a try. I am on my second L. My first one was a '95 and I loved it. I hated to get ride of it, but the 2001 was a gotta have. We own a one of a kind ride and we wouldn't be here on this site if we didn't love them and want to show them off. So let's try a little get together. We have a great county park "Ocean County Park and it's beautiful with lots of parking. Last time I had a get together of sorts was going over to Vietnam. I think it's time for a fun get together this time. All funnin aside, want to try it. Remember, This is my neck of the woods and the I personnaly know the cops there.LOL Of course we could do it anywhere, I'm game.... My wife says that the wives should come too. I thought this was suppose to be a good time...Ouch---She hit me.

 

Hey to bad I didn't see this thread earlier, I was down there over the past few days. My mom lives in Lanoka Harbor.

We got alot of NJ people. So far most of the meets have taken place up in northern Jersey, Wayne/Paramus area.

 

Maybe a meet for PA,NJ,DE Lightning owners in the middle of the state should be in order? Maybe we can organize a very large Lightning meet?? ANy ideas? When i was out in IL we were able to get 40+ lightnings together at our meets.

 

Zor- a southern/middle NJ meat would be cool. I heard I missed you by an hour or so at Jim's shop a few weeks ago.

 

Yup, ive been real busy and couldn't stay any later. Ive been getting home rather late these days. Gotta get some of us all together at some point before the weather gets to cold.

 

Some place in the middle of the state sounds good to me. If anyone has an idea for a location, put it out there. Something for the Fall, like mid October. I'd like it to be mid month because I'll be driving over to Illinois the first weekof Oct. Going home to Lake County. I like to check on the old home every year or two. Anyway, how's around a weekend mid Oct.?
Even if we only get a few of us, it will be a start. This will be better than picking up leaves in the yard. Please jump in with ideas....Gary

Ok, Looks like we have a few L. owners out there who might be interested in a little get together. How about Oct 27th which is a Sat. We can use the 28th as a rain date. This won't be much more than a till to hook up with other New Jersey L. owners or actually any neighboring state would be welcome too. What the hell, if you own a good lookin F-150, come on down. There are a lot of great dinners with good size parking lots in the Mid Jersey area, not to metion parks. I thik if we stick to a dinner, we woud be able to eat and hang out to check each others rides. This is goin together pretty fast, so it may not be perfect, but it coud be the first of many get togethers. I'm new at this, but how hard will it be to give he name and address along with directions to a dinner and who shows up...shows up. Go ahead, pick a dinner or area or leave it up to me. It will be as central as I can make it. Let's go..

First rule, never give a date without telling the wife. How was I to remember the 27th of Oct. is her brother's birthday. He drives a BMW and wouldn't come... Could we go with the 28th of Oct and use the 3rd of Nov. as a rain date????

I can see I'm gonna have to keep at close eye on my hood. Oh, I didn't tell you I have a lo-jack on my hood?LOL. Hope things work out. I know I wouldn't be able to keep up with you guys in those L's. But just the same, wouldn't mind hanging out with the big boys. Thanks.
