You do not have to go to an SVT dealer. Any Ford dealer or Mercury/Lincoln dealer can take care of this.

parts are in, truck will be ready by tomorrow evening! thank you lord!

BfB: when i took my truck to the local gomer & cooter ford dealership, they dropped it off the lift & caused a thousand dollars worth of damage.. i ended up getting very irate at the service manager when he said "tough", and that he wouldnt give me any sort of compensation. (all i wanted was an extended warranty to cover the loss of resale value due to the damage)
i took the shop to a really good body shop and had my insurance company charge the ford place. the local ford place dont like me anymore. they thought they were gonna get out of it easy by letting one of their paint monkeys fix it for next to nothing. WRONG!

Most trucks don't start leaking till around 7k according to blue oval news and other sites.
Don't worry TOO much. My 2000 has 23K on the clock and I have no IC leak. I will get the IC changed if there is a recall however .

Hi clonetek:

Do you think that the serviceperson that said you received a new supercharger knows what she's talking about?

complimentary loner

hey bro, my 01' svt suppliment states"SVT Premium Sevice: Owners and lessees of 2001 model year SVT vehicles will be provided with a complimentary loaner vehicle when their 2001 SVT vehicle is in for service (includes waranty work and routine maintenance, other than oil changes). The dealership will also wash and vacuum the customer's vehicle unless requested otherwise."

Uhhh, yeah? We know this. He doesn't have an '01, though, for the 2nd time.

Brooks, I feel your pain. Mine goes under the knife again Monday. Is twice in one year pushing my luck?

I ordered the kit myself from SVT today.

today i will either get my "fixed" truck, or a loner... i hope for the former, not the latter.

gonna take my camera and maybe get some pics of the old stuff and maybe the new stuff too..

jay: you are gonna do the swap yourself? or you ordered the parts for the dealer?

Brooks, since I didn't take the truck in for testing/inspection/ disassembly without parts, I had to get an approval from SVT. I called the following phone number, gave them my VIN # and they shipped the parts to the dealer. They send the parts with the VIN number attached. I looks like they are only going to do this once. I believe that you can have them shipped to any dealer.

The parts are in the local warehouse, here in Monteberllo, CA, so they should have them today. I have an appointment on Monday for the replacement.

Here's the number for those who need it: 1-800-248-0186

They were real nice, and knew what was going on. Just use the OPN # 01B81.
