I was at work when a fellow employee called to tell me two planes had hit the world trade center. My first thought was that it was just a huge airline accident, then he told me it was a terroist attack. I thought "Oh No" here we go to war. Today is day that will go down in history and will be on everyones mind for decades to come. It's a very sad day for the world. It's all alomost to hard to believe, it should all be a dream that we wake up from. Everyone please pray for all the the victims and the heros we have out there helping. If I could find anyway to help you bet your azz I'll be there and I ask anyother true blood american to do the same. IT"S TIME TO SUPPORT YOUR NATION! At least buy an american flag and stick it on your truck or hang it on your house, also here in Kentucky people are driving with thei headlights on to show support in this dire time of sadness.

I stand behind whatever action America decides to take, I just hope that their plan is to hunt em, down and take em out with "extreme prejudece". If we go to war, I don't want to go which no one would really want to but I love my country and it would be an honor to serve. America has went soft and showed to much compassion to all these other countries and religious groups. It's time to take our stand and hold our ground. America NEEDS to make a profound statement and SOON. I have heard that the United Nations has all ready stated that it is behind whatever America decides to do. IMO it may not be the right time yet just to be ploping out nukes yet, that is serious **** too and we don't need to drop exactly to their level and kill thousands of innocent people. Then again lets rock and roll and kick some azz. I don't know what to feel right now.

On other notes people in my tri-state area are worried about a gas crisis. So just in case and since I was on a 1/4 a tank I went to fill up my self. In route to get gas, my best firends wife managed to side swipe my truck with her f&*king mirror. Now I have this big long black scratch/rub mark down the side and her mirror is crushed. Don't know what we are going to do about that yet. Don't know if I can polish out the marks and she can get a new mirror or if we will need to get the insurance involved. I don't think this will turn into a big deal as long as no one looses their head. I mean her husband ( one of my best firends) his dad is the sherriff of my county. Only thing is that she usually acts like a bitch and she works as a secretary for a somewhat jerk of a lawer. So she may want to make a big deal of this.

 

They closed the pipeline terminal here. A fast cutter is on the way to patrol the bay and we have had flights of F-15's overhead.

I'm trying to think of all the Muslims in my neighborhood who fly the Stars and Stripes in front of their house. . . Hmmmm, funny, there aren't any. If you don't fly an American flag off the front of your home daily, you should be deported.

 

I understand everybodies frustration and I want to kick somebodies *** too!!!! But we have to take this one day at a time and not be so quick to point fingers.

I work with a palistinian guy and he is really cool and I really want to see what his reaction will be. I am sure that he will be upset about the yesterday's events as he has lived and worked here for 1/2 of his life.

speaking of bush, I thought it was funny when he was elected and everyone criticized him for bringing people into his cabinet that were "too miltary" or were in his dad's cabinet, etc. I for one thank god we have folks in the cabinet like colon powell, **** cheney, and others that know about this kind of thing.
Did anyone see stormin norman on the news last night? His interview made me feel good, saying "we've got a whole bunch of bad asses in the military that can to what it takes to make the situation right again"

 

I was in the Air Force back in the 80s and I would love to go kick some butt, but they won't take me back because they say I am too old to re-enlist. I am 36 and they stop taking you after you turn 32. I could join the reserves but my specialty does not apply to them I would have to retrain. Oh well kick some extra butts for those of us that can't join you!

 

we have always told the israelis to try and use diplomatic means to stop the killing. now i understand what they have been going through with these maniacs.

 

The news reports that these hijackings were apparently performed with boxcutters...wtf?!?! And there may have been two hijackers per plane (1 to fly the plane after killing the pilots, the other to hold passengers back). That makes it even more of a shame. There were 80 or 90 people on these planes, they should have all dog-piled his **** and clobbered the living sh*t out of him. And then cut him up with his boxcutter while giggling and slapping him and calling him "Bitz!".

Of course, it's easy for me to talk tough like this in behind my computer monitor. My guess is the terrorist killed/slashed one passenger to make a point that he is serious, and then took another hostage at knifepoint to hold the rest at bay while the terrorist pilot flew the plane into the buildings. Well, now we now what the worst case scenario can be...

The lesson we should preach about this to ALL airline passengers from now on is if a hijacker announces his presence on board then EVERYBODY should dogpile the bastard regardless of a weapon. I know I'd personally be climbing my *** over the seats, jumping from luggage bins, farting, kicking, and screaming to reach that *******er to fight him tooth and nail!!! If I take one for the team, so be it, next in line please. Sure, maybe he'll kill/maim one or two or three or maybe 10 people (women, children, etc.), or maybe he'll blow the whole plane up, but you were probably ALL going to die anyway. At least you might save 1,000 or 10,000 people on the ground. The military should have this same response as well...as SOON AS a plane is reported hijacked, get a Sidewinder, AMRAAM, or SAM locked on and if it even LOOKS at a city wrong then turn the plane into a flaming, smoking, dirt torpedo.

Another option: actually PERMIT passengers to carry firearms onto planes and/or issue them to adults as they enter/exit planes. That would be the absolute LAST plane I would be interested in as a hijacker.

My next suggestion: install armored steel/reinforced bulkheads between coc-kpits and passenger compartments with NO way to reach the coc-kpit from inside the plane (maybe a small rectangular hole for stewardesses to pass food/drinks to the pilots). If a hijacker threatens to kill the passengers or blow up the plane...pilots say "Knock yourself out, bitz, but you ain't flying the plane". Not to mention you now have 80 to 250 pissed off passengers about to pounce on you.

Take away the airplane as a terrorist bargaining position...make the planes and passengers expendable. It's a sad and horrific decision that may be necessary to reduce or eliminate hijackings.

 

I was watching TV yesterday as many of you were and they were quoting from the lady who was on the plane that crashed into the pentagon and she said that the hijackers were hijacking the plane with knife-like objects.

I just want to know, if the hijackers did not have guns why didn't someone tackle or stun these men??

I must also commend the pilot who crashed in Somerset, PA who saved another thousand lives and saved the White House!!! A very brave man!!!

They'd have to be people that know how to use a gun and control themselves from using it. Some airlines already have designated, plain clothes "air rangers" that fly on every international flight, fully armed, and trained in sharpshooting should the unthinkable occur.

Here's what I think, I think they hijacked the planes but didn't tell everyone what they were doing. If they had told the plane that they were going to crash into the world trade towers and take out 10s of thousands of people, I have no doubt these people would have stepped up and risked their own lives. They probably told people they were just wanting to fly back to their homeland or something and if everyone stayed good they'd all be let out alive.

I think you may be right!!! That does sound logical, because if I was on that plane they said they were gonna crash into the WTC, I would have attacked them with great vengense.

 

Good point Matt, maybe they didn't "announce" it, but there were several cell phone calls from some of the passengers who KNEW they had been hijacked. I can't imagine a hijacker just walking into the coc-kpit and silently killing one/both pilots and nobody noticed, not to mention the passengers noticing the sharp turn of the plane towards New York.

Even if all of this was kept "incognito", a steel/armored bulkhead could prevent this in the future.
