Letting off.....LOL NEVER

I actually had her up to around 145 before I let off. That run was done with a stock upper blower pulley, and the PSP lower blower pulley, as well as a catless and free flowing exhaust system.
Had I had the stock exhaust, you would have seen that needle in the black But...to be safe with nitrous, you dont want o try and force too much boost in the motor. And of course a free-flowing exhaust is the key.....

Fiance!!! Ah, that explains it ALL now. I understand completely...and here I thought insanity/senility was setting in at a tender young age...but now I know.

*big grin*

Am I missing something here?

My 2001 Bone stock L with 4600 miles on it has seen 140+ at least a dozen times with a good friend of mine in the truck with me. I'll take the pic and post it for you all. I didn't think it was a big deal cause my wifes Grand Prix GTP has seen 146 and would have been more but GM's cut off stopped me. The craziest thing I ever seen was 128 in my 1996 S-10 SS. Programed with Underpulley kit, K&N, Throttle body spacer, 3.73 gears pos.trac. rear end with traction bars. That little truck just gets to lite for thoughs speeds.

No it didnt come out wrong.
I am fortunate enough to have access to roads during certain times to perform my testing blasts. Not to mention very WIDE roads as well. So no need to worry about "others" safety.....It's all good.

How about that GTP...it must have taken 4 miles to reach 146..

170mph in a stock L?

from what I've heard multiple times a stock99-01 L won't go more then 155MPH really. I've barely had it up to about 145-150. it was pegged at 140 and I didn't ahve diagnostic mode on but I know I kept accelerating a little but it evened out about 5-10mph over 140

Top speed

Stan was clocked at about 167 mph at Big Bend and as far as I remember, he figures the max top end is about 172 or 173 mph.

I've done 124.7mph in my truck... not saying much, but it is a relatively stock v6
