Great story--Proves Lightnings are the King of the Road

Me and a group of friends are standing in their driveway drinking away (I just got there and hadn't gotten started yet). This little Blazer looking thing stops in the middle of the road and then just floors it. Everyone is like wtf but I am going FUKIN CRAZY. "THATS A TYPHOON, HOLD MY SHIZNIT" I said. I jumped in my L and away I was after his ***. About 1/2 a mile down the block I catch up to him as he is waitng for me at a stop sign. He turns and I follow. By looking at his back window, he has many sponsors/ stickers so I know now that he is very modded. I go full throttle arround him. As I passed him, I saw a 3 gague column and a tack with shift light on his dash. I make a right on to a 3 lane road. There I stop for a brief second and let him turn and get even. Instead of stopping and evening up, he just floors it, so I do the same as he passes. Even with my super bald f1's on the back, I was still able to get a pretty good hook. It was all over. I quickly caught up and then just walked his ***. Even shooting my nos (I would have destroid his *** if I juced). I just turned arround and had a victory drink for the lightning. This is one bad *** truck and this goes to show that it is the fastest truck on the road. (even though this one is very heavily modded). For the record, I did not drink and drive and there were no Lightnings hurt in the making of this kick *** experience.
his face kinda looked like when I passed his ***!!!!!!!!!
My pecker looked like as I passed him

Hmmm, why is a tach and shiftlight neeed for an automatic?

If you read closely there brainiac you can see that there never was a hole. I stopped and waited for him to line up but he just flew by me. As for the shift llite, I asumed that because there was an amber tint inside the ****pit when I passed him.

As with the L's, the stock gauges aren't the most accurate things.

11secL:
Until you/we know what this Typhoon had on it as far as mods go, other than silly stickers, how can this one experience go to show that the L is the fastest truck on the road?

Not that I can't appreciate a fast Lightning, I can. Congrats! If you ever get over to Eastern Pa or NJ, maybe you'll be willing to race my Syclone? Within the next couple of months I should be ready to see what my new engine will do(the ET in my sig is on the stock engine). Hell, you can even use your nitrous! Afterwards, you *might* still have the fastest truck on the road, who knows?

Meh. Since everybody is whipping it out and slapping it around in this thread - I HAVE A STREETLEGAL VEHICLE THAT CAN RUN THE 1/4 FASTER THAN MOST OF YOU CAN RUN THE 1/8*

*Said vehicle may have only 2 wheels

Hamr head--- I might just make it down to NJ Just to blow your light little wanna be truck off the track. Syclones tick me off.

Rscoleman--sorry about spellig tach wrong, I was really excited!!!
Nos right now is at 100hp and adjustable up to 225hp. Highest i've ever run was at 150hp when I ran the 11.80 70deg in Florida. Othermods are as follows--JL Ramair, JL Filter, JL 90MM MAF, Ford Oval TB, 2#Lower pulley and sc pulley, JL Power cooler, Diablo chip, level 10 torque cv, 4.10 gears, Aloy driveshaft, NOS (currently 100hp dry shot with heater and fuel pump). Have a few old school and tuning tricks done to it too. I eat sleep and shiznit my Lightning. By fall/winter, consistant 11s sould be no problem.

Where's the love here anyway. I write this beautiful story about a kill last night and all my felow L owners are doggin on me. Of course I had to butter it up and make it sound good but the truth is that this is a true story and every thing is true just prettied up (like any kill story). How 'bout we all stop calling bs on this story and give me a ----HELL YEA!!!! This was the 1st cyclone I ever raced and I am damn proud of holding up to the Lightning Name.

Here you go 11ec. Saw this in a HOT ROD once: "Any yahoo can race a Chevy." Nice kill. Sy's and Ty's are garbage trucks that can't tow or haul anything. And if you do, be prepared for a trip to the repair shop. How do I know? My best friend bought a new one and traded tha POS in less than a year. Was VERY fun when new but the wear started showing immediately. They are very good garage queens for collectors though, just not drivers.

What do you mean ,'where's the love?'. I did say congrats on your kill and I didn't say it was BS. I said that just because you saw a bunch of stickers on the Ty, doesn't mean it was heavily modded. Makes a little sense, doesn't it?

Sy's and Ty's are garbage trucks? To each his own, that's what keeps this stuff interesting. Personally, I've hauled many things over the years with my Sy that would in NO way fit in any car and it never caused a trip to the repair shop. Also, my intercooler has yet to leak.

Garage Queens and NOT drivers? Obviously you don't see many of them these days, as GM promised a limited edition sport truck and stuck to their word, unlike other companies. Which is why I see no point in 'saving' a Lightning for collector's purposes. Just use it, enjoy it, and eventually, unload it. There are many, many Sy/Ty's that are WAAY over 100,000 miles and still going strong.

Someone buys ONE and trades it in a year? Big deal! How many people have bought a L and unloaded it already? Plenty I'm sure.

11secL-
11.80's w/ 150 shot- great time! But if by chance you do come to PA/NJ to 'blow my light little wanna be truck off the track', make sure to bring the 225 nozzles. Either way, it'll be fun. Even without all the stickers and shift lights!

There's a reason why Syclone's **** you off, and we all know what that reason is.

Before we start pissing on Syclones and Typhoons, it is possible to make those things fly. I crewed on one the went 210 MPH.

Anything can be made to fly if you throw enough money at it. Even my beater Cavalier.

They are doggin on you because your story is a lie.

I've ran across a few T's and S's and mostly they are highly modded. Even the strongest L's will have problems with any of these puppys.

If you're going to come on this board and lie, then make some thing up about a LS6 from 0-60.

Thank you.
