I've benn running pulleys since very soon after I bought my L (in 2002) on a stock block.
It is my daily driver and I race it regularly. If you have a tune from a good tuner, the grenading problem is reduced considerably. Grenading is usually caused by not having a good tune suitable for your mods or acts of stupidity such as full throttle downshifts when cruising in overdrive. The value of a good tune cannot be overemphasized as the best insurance in protecting your engine.

um, yeah

guess everyone with a pullied Lightning / Harley truck better go put 'em back to stock after all these years without issues due to being pullied...

improperly modded superchargers have issues, not ones that are taken care of

Ok so long block is in truck sent to the dyno tune they figured out all the mods and apparently its got a crank pulley n he said it should be running about 14 psi. Right now he said its dangerously lean on the verge of blowing up and said they are having a problem tuning it due to a faulty sensor possibly

you need to find another tuner, that guy is ignorant in how Lightnings work. you can max the stock MAF with just 8# and you are running 14!!

These guys claim to specialize in Ford and say they have tuned numerous lightnings...hopefully they will have it running correctly now that they put new o2's in it and they said 2 valves weren't closing properly....no idea what valves they are refering to...hopefully ill have more to report tomorrow

After 2 painfully long months my baby is back. Running like a champ many hard pulls no problems. New long block new o2 sensors fixed egr valve leak custom SCT dyno tune. 288rwhp about 360 crank and 357 ft lb running 12psi max boost airaid intake no cats. I've already got the 90mm lightning maf they said I'm at 80% capacity....they suggested doin a larger heat exchanger for more consistent power

stock L dyno numbers are around 350 rwhp and 420 torque on 8# of boost.

wow, that "tuner" is a worthless sack of crap, get your truck a real tune before you blow it up again

I don't know how you got that number cuz the factory specs I found say 360hp at the crank also from what I've heard the numbers can vary depending on the dyno this one was a mustang dyno

While I agree that his truck isn't making anywhere near the power it should, a stock Lightning does not make 350 rwhp... Unless there was a spike due to a gear change on the rollers.
